4 hours ago - Singer 7422 keeps stopping with lights flashing when filling bobbin Machine stops ... Machine stops and red lights flash when loading bobbink.
It could be the belt has snapped, or something else it out of adjustment. You can either get it fixed, or purchased an inexpensive bobbin winder for under $25 from WalMart online.
try a new needle--make sure it's the right needle for the fabric being sewed. try rethreading the machine top and bobbin --make sure to use every thread guide try a different bobbin it's also possible that the machine could have a timing problem and needs to be checked
here's a free manual if you need one just click on the link
some machine, you have to push the bobbin winder spindle to the right so that it will wind the bobbin, I have to on mine. but if you've already done that then the machine needs to be checked to see what wrong with the bobbin winder spindle
they have a free manual at singer pdf download
Go to the singer website
Go to the home page
Go to customer service--click on it--it will show a small menu--click on instruction manual
In the box put the model number (example 7422) & click search
Your problem lies with the main shaft that is to tight to release the bobbin winder mechanism, because of old grease and oil becoming sticky. A short term solution will be to remove the needle, in order not to hurt you, and then hold on to the needle bar with your left hand, while engaging the bobbin lever with your left hand. This will prevent the main shaft to rotate and your winder should work. In the long term, take it to your dealer to clean the oil and grease. You will not be able to open the machine casing yourselve, as you might damage the casing and or electronics.
My Singer 7422 seems to be jammed. When I start to make a stitch, the thread from the needle gets caught on something on the bottom and the thread goes over the bobbin.
Make sure you have the machine threaded for the bobbin and not threaded through the sewing path. Also, check to make sure that the bobbin is pushed directly against the post as far as possible.
Can you explain what you mean by not working? I'll try and help.
