It could be the lid switch or the timer.

KENMORE 90 SERIES TOP LOAD WASHER WONT SPIN LOUD NOISE, SOUNDS MOTOR RELATED. WILL DRAIN SLOWLY CLOTHES ARE STILL WET AT END OF CYCLE.

does it agitate???. if it does not then you need the motor coupling. you need to remove the cabinet, yes, I said the cabinet, remove the pump, motor and you got to the coupling. replace all part in kit. reassemble and test. go to the website of sears parts WITH THE COMPLETE MODEL. and get the part. model starts like 110.xxxxxxxxxxx

good luck to you.

Kenmore 110 washer fills and does the wash cycle but wont drain or spin. Totally shuts down after wash cycle. What do I need to replace

sounds as though the lid switch has gone bad, either that or the motor has lost the reverse winding on it.. most likely lid switch tho.
the lid switch is only "seen" by some older kenmore "110" series at the end of the wash cycle, or end of the rinse cycle. it purpose is to keep the unit from spinning if the lid is opened so no one looses an arm, etc.
generally the console on those machines hinges over backward so you can remove the cabinet top and 3 sides as a unit together..
the lid switch is under the machine top and isn't easily accessible without removing the cabinet.

Washer sticks on wash cycle; runs continuosly on spin cycle

That sounds like you have one of them fancy water saving outfits with a diverter valve that dumps the pump water continuosly over the clothes. Weirdest washer I ever saw. Could be the solenoid that opens the drain pump has failed. Don't know too much about em but I do have the service manual. Post your model number for a more precise answer. Won't spin, makes clunking noise, drains fine

If it agitates fine , with normal noise , drains with lid closed , then the problem is probably the transmission .

Wet clothes at end of spin cycle

sounds like your transmission is not working properly. check your warranty information. (should be in your owners manual) many of the whirlpool made top loaders came with a 5 year warranty on the transmission/gear case
