I have a fairly new Brita faucet filter. Not long after purchase the red light stayed on. I took out and put back in the filter. Then no light at all, neither red nor green. Today replaced the filter, still no light at all.

I called Brita and was told that the light is powered by an irreplaceable battery in the system which is good for about two years. The tech on the phone said to replace the filter every 4 months as a solution.
I had this problem too and had the system less than one year.
Same here. I bought mine in June of this year and it’s already quit. It was my very first filter change at 3 months. I wasn’t even behind on changing the filter, I was early but the red light was on. I changed the filter and now nothing. What a piece of junk if it’s going to stop that easy!

Replacing the Brita filter indicator battery is to difficult. To replace battery you have to get manufacturer support. But some times you can make it home's. I found all the details in this following post
