Valves seem to be installed from the bottom of the fixture. Looks like the entire fixture has to be removed.Valves seem to be installed from the bottom of the fixture. Looks like the entire fixture has to be removed.

It takes new valve cartridges and sometime complete valve bodies. Call Kohler, it should be covered by their lifetime warranty. They are very good about service.
you must use genuine kohler parts,if you got something from lowes or home depot that was some other brand they usually leak. also look for calcium build up inside the valve body, you can use 1500 grit wet sand paper to remove it just be carefull and dont sand too much, then apply water proof plumbers grease inside the valve body befor you install the new cartridge.
Cut off water supply to faucet remove allen screw that hold handle on remove handle unscrew bonnet nut then take out cartridge and put in new one.Make sure you note how old came out so you can put new one in correctly
Yes, and I do recommend that you do not use danco cartridge's unless you can not find any other brand. Kohler would be best if they are still available.

Place a few drops of vinegar into the screw hole and wait a little bit. Try removing the handle again, sounds like it is just stuck on the cartridge stem. The handle should come off first, and then the bonnet. Here's the parts breakdown for your faucet from Kohler.
