Question about Insignia IS-DVD1001 DVD Recorder/VCR
Last 3 weeks when I powered on my tv it would buzz for 2-3 minutes and then the buzzing would stop...picture and volume was fine. Last 2-3 days when I power on, the tv buzzes for 2-3 seconds and then automatically shuts off? TV is roughly 4 years old and no new connections have been added. Thanks for any insight.
The TV seems to have a failing Power Supply. This could potentially be repaired but would be an out of warranty expense.

SOURCE: Insignia LCD TV loses power
There might be faulty capacitors that are causing the intermittent power up/down. Check the 2200uF(2 per board) capacitors for bulging conditions or you can replace the entire assembly.

You are having problems with component failure. This could be a simple problem of over expanded solder connections that have expanded beyond the contact points on the board. This is reffered to as cold or broken solder joints. The other problem amy be actual component failure, such as bad capacitors or semi-conductor components. The unit need to serviced. You can call the Best Buy customer support telephone line at 1888-237-8289 and give them the model number of your television and the problem you are having.
