Any vegetables or food in the two bottom crispers, or in the cold cut drawer, will freeze. Also have had soda freeze on the lower shelf. Refrigerator is about 12 years old. This has been happening for a while. Have seen answers about thermostat and other answer about the vent in the back left that draws air to freezer...went on to say that there is no fix. Help please.
I've had the same issue with an Amana BX21TL. In my case, the problem was that the various air flow adjustments were all directing the cold air to the bottom of the fridge, underneath the vegetable crispers.
What I've done to fix this was:
1- Made sure there was a tight seal between the vent opening at the back of the fridge (at about mid-height) and the rubber/plastic duct that directs air to the meat/cheese drawer.
2- Made sure that the adjustable opening at the back of the meat/cheese drawer was fully open.
3- Made sure that the adjustable opening at the back of both vegetable crispers were fully open.
Hope this helps.

Vegetables freeze in lower left crisper drawer. Takes about 2 days depending upon the amount of vegetables stored in drawer. Vent damper is operational and has been tried in all states. Eggs also freeze at the back of the refrigerator above same drawer. Separation of items makes some difference indication that the refrigerator has an air flow problem.
