T.V. has "no signal" message on screen and is black, tried to change "Source" on TV and still nothing. Called Cable company who indicated cable service is working, I need to try and get the TV on channel 3. I have no idea how to get this TV on channel 3. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank you
Back - light problem. Check and replace damaged component/s at its back-light inverter board, or replace this board as card basis. If you wish to get some details; check the site linked here. Surf the site with patience. Pull up older posts. It will be best to replace the inverter board as card basis.

To some model sets; especially LED back-lighted types; the back-light inverter circuit will be part of the main power supply board [SMPS]. In such cases, the power supply board might need replacement. To some models sets, the back-light inverter and SMPS section circuit will be integrated at its main board itself. If so; the main board should be replaced. To some models of sets, all these section circuit will be integrated at its main board. If this is the case, you have to replace the main digital board.

When you write 'tuner,' do you mean the internal TV tuner or do you have a cable box between the wall connector and your set's input?
If you are connected from the wall to the set, then the sensitive circuitry (it may only tolerate a few volts max video) is damaged.
If your set was a couple of decades old, it might be fairly easy to repair.
If the set was damaged via the cable service, you may have some recourse unless your cable provider has seen fit to absolve themselves from liability, I suspect they have.
I do not know your set but it is not impossible that the video input circuitry for cable and antenna is on a smaller assembly that processes it before reaching the main board.
The latter has obviously survived since you still have the other functions.
SOURCE: says no signal when switched to hdmi when there is one.
Have the same problem with a 532H - but here is what I did to resolve the issue:
1) Click your Menu button on the TV remote.
2) Go to Screen (click the right button)
3) Go to Main Picture Source (click the right button)
4) Select HDMI (click the Menu button when done)
SOURCE: Channel Scan
If you have not discarded your old conventional TV or can borrow one, I would connect it to the same signal source you are using with the Olevia.
If you get reception with the substitute set, then the Olevia is defective.
If you live in a metropolitan area, you could also try sticking a piece of copper wire into the input of the Olevia and selecting antenna input as the source from inside the Olevia's setup menu.
If you still get no signal indications (quality is not important for this), then the Olevia is defective.
I'm disappointed to see you having trouble with this set as we own one too.
Also disturbing is Olevia's current state; they are in bankruptcy so I would start complaining soon and loudly if you have satisfactorily identified the Olevia as the problem.

make sure that you're not using a cable box. then when you do the channel scan, make sure that you pick cable instead of antena.

TV won't power on manually or with remote. Screen remains black, but power light is on.
My TV starts out fine, but after an hour or so begins flickering and then goes completely black and shows the no signal indicator. Most times either switching sources fixes it, or just moving the set a bit. Is there a permanent fix for this?
I have same problem. If anyone figures this out, could you email your solution to [email protected].
Thanks!
