Changing from running in regular workout shoes to track spikes can cause Achilles tendon problems. Your Achilles tendon, sometimes called the calcaneal tendon, connects your calf muscles to your heel bone. A slow onset of pain that increases with exertion is likely to be tendonitis, whereas a sudden pain may be a partial or complete Achilles' tendon rupture. Achilles' tendons injuries are slow to heel and, in the case of ruptures, can even require surgery.

My legs as well as my feet gets swollen evertime I gain some weight and they burning when I wake up in the morning they are normal during the day they start all over again

Are you diabetic? I'm no doctor but my wife is diabetic and has diabetic neuropathy in her feet. When her blood sugar spikes high, her feet cause her pain too. I have pain and burning in my feet also but it is caused by nerve damage in my spine. For me, the longer I stand or walk, the stronger the pain gets. I would see a doctor if I were you. If possible, when your pain comes on so that they can test your sugar during your symptoms. This would be something that the nurse could do, probably without an appointment depending upon your relationship with your doctor. Good luck.

How to remove the track spikes on my running shoes?

Place the spike key over the top of the spike, ensuring that you secure it around the base. Hold the shoe firmly and slowly turn the key to the left to loosen and remove the spike. One you get the spike turning, it should come out easily.

Hi, I have worn Air max Moto foy years, but the most recent pair are too wide and give me blisters on my heels as my feet are slipping. Have I bought a wide fit by mistake, or are the new motos wider?

hi
first you need to know what type of feet you have , see air max motos wider is for people who have wide feet ,so you need to know if you have wide or narrow feet, not that people with narrow feet cant wear it , but its more comfortable for people with wide feet . since you have brought it let see what can do so that you dont blisters . try washing your legs properly apply some nice creams to make your skin dry and wear sock so it sucks your swaet that come from your leg .if the vlister still continue to come you better change the shoe

If you are satisfied with my answer please vote three thumbs up ..Thank you

Asics vs. Saucony.I've worn Saucony shoes for past few years and absolutely loved them. My physiotherapist convinced me to get into Asics a couple of months ago as he felt they were better suited to my...

I have just switched from Saucony to Asics myself. I've always run in the Grid Omni series which is along the same lines stability wise as the Asics 2000 series I think.
But I have had two rounds of stress fractures in my left medial tibia (last one was training and running Philly this past fall).
Been doing lots of physio etc. and I decided to change shoes. I researched alot through discussion groups etc. and thought the 2130's might be good to try. I went to my running store and the owner who is super knowledgeable had me try a few pairs and she thought I rolled in less with the 1120's and a lift in the left shoe. My right leg never causes me trouble unless I try a more stable shoe. (I tried the Omni ultimates and ended up with IT band issues). Anyway, the 1120's with the lift seem to be ok so far. But I am only doing 5K treadmill runs at the moment, Can't tell yet if my shin is going to complain or not.

Need some information on Nike shoes ?So I recently went shopping around for some running shoes for Cross Country and Track next year, and I looked at some nice Nike shoes. The shoes I looked at were: Free...

The Lunarfly is a lot lighter than the Vomero 5, around 2.5 ounces or so. I wanted to get the Lunarfly's but they do not have enough cushion (I'm just recovering from a stress fracture in my metatarsal) for me as of right now. I actually ended up getting the Nike Vomero 5...about 30 dollars more than the Lunarfly but they feel pretty solid to run in!!!
The cushioning for the Vomero 5 is great. I actually got done running 4.5 miles about two hours ago and my legs feel fresh! The only downfall is that the shoes are 9.8 ounces (well, for girls...probably a bit more for men) which isn't too heavy, but I used to run in Mizunos that are 7.7 ounces so it feels slightly heavier. I plan on getting the Lunarfly when track season rolls around but the Vomero is a great shoe! I can't tell you much on the Free, but I know it is supposed to simulate barefoot running...it is a minimal shoe and is very lightweight. You can go the distance on any of these Nike's. I do prefer lighter shoes because like the guy above said, barefoot running is the natural way to run...it's also nice to have a cushioned shoe though for extremely long runs. Go to a running store and test out the shoes by running around the block!
