Lg 42 no power
If its dead and no sound what so ever its usually the power board and if so you can usually get replacement boards by contacting the people over at
www.tvrepairworld.com if its not listed they most likely still have it and you can check by hitting the contact us button on their website and letting them know your model number and symptoms and a tech for your model will respond quickly to your problem for free as long as you include your model number and symptoms of the set.

LG 47LH3000 - sound can be heard, but no image is being displayed. Have checked all wires but no luck. TV is relatively new as well, only bought in June.
Turn on tv have flashes of pictures few sec.than dies have sound left only.Yes,than the 2 long boards call the LCD inverter boards are dead.These 2 long LCD inverter boards help the LCD screen to have a backlight to produced a picture.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy those 2 long refurbishes LCD inverter boards for the replacement.This tv is under a year old right?Look in ur user manual for the service phone numbers.Call for a warrenty repair.

Yes,the tv power supply board probably have dead components,likely a couples of capacitors on the power supply board have gases leakages,it dead,not funsctions any more.Take it to the tv shop pay for trouble & repair for you,this tv name are spacially made for and sell by the Target stores only.Very limited whole board parts,available on the net to buy.

Your tv is being attacked by electrical surges which seem very violent and has already damaged some logic controls. Please invest in a AC filter which will protect your tv from such spikes....... but first you need to get your tv serviced from the electrical damaged it has already suffered.
