I have an ariston awd 121 front loader washer dryer. What kind of soap does it call for? Can it be the powder? Does it have to be liquid? Does it have to be a certain brand/type?

To my knowledge all front loading washers require low sudsing high efficiency (he) detergent and these only come in liquid. A powdered detergent could probably be used, but I'd try a 1/4 of the recommended amount for a normal load first. Also it is not recommended. Regular liquid detergent can also probably be used but i'd start with 1/2 the the amount for a normal load. If you don't use the recommended "he detergents" expect occasional oversudsing problems and possibly even early drain pump death. Hope this helps.

SOURCE: I have the error code 5 on the Ariston washer

hello,

what this mean is that the error code 5 indicates that the water temperature sensor reading is out of range (below 23 degrees F or above 217 degrees F). in your drying machine.

thank you.

SOURCE: Hello expert, I have an Ariston

Hi.

The bleach compartment is an extra part that was originally provided with the washer:

The detergent dispenser is divided into three compartments as follows:
1. Detergent for pre-washing;
2. Detergent for the wash cycle;
3. Fabric softeners,
4 Extra compartment for the bleach, to be inserted in compartment

Here the user guide.

Note: if you have lost the bleach dispenser you can order a replacement calling Indesit at the number listed on manual, or contacting a part seller like the ones below:

I have a Duet front loader and I've noticed that my towels get stiffer the more I wash them. I used to use liquid detergent and fabric softner, but the repair man suggested I use powder soap and...

No truth to powder being better .fabric softeners on the towels is fine it does help keep them soft they just don't absorb moisture as well.. I belive you biggest issue is over drying the towels,use a lower temp setting on dryer and do Not trust auto dry settings for towels,expermint with timed settings, if towels are not dry you can always add a few more minutes,but over temp and over dry will stiffen and age them prematurely

When in wash it dosent remove all soap powder from clothes

I don't know how you are administering the soap powder to the machine..but for one, its recommended that you use detergent thats made exclusively for the front loader washer, usually says "he" on the front of the LIQUID detergent, they recommend that you use liquid detergent on top of that, BUT if you have to use regular powder detergent it must be put inside the tub and NOT the pull out detergent drawer. The reason why they want you to use liquid is because the powder detergent is not concentrated and when you use it, it lathers up alot and its harder for the front loader machine to clean out the clothes and I was told that they (sales agents) have heard of soap suds and bubble floods coming from the machine due to either using the powder detergent or using too much. Hope that this helps!!

Detergent

Yes! any kind of liquid soap is ok for your front loader. HE soaps are just a little better in the front loaders so yes you can still use your liquid soap.

Is powder or liqued detergent better for front

They are trying to make money off you!!!!!!! LIQUID!!!! Dont ever!!! use powder soap in your front loader. Powder soap doesnt dissolve all the way and then gets into the bearings of the washer and eats them away! This caused about a 450 dollar repair for your repairman. Never use powder soap.

Type of detergent

You can use either but it must be "HE" or high efficiency soap for front loaders. It will be marked with an HE symbol on the container.
