Followed instructions about measuring the shower from wall to wall ABOVE the curved corners. Also subtracted the additional 9/16" before cutting on opposite side of pivot point.
When the bottom rail is sitting on the flatest part of the shower lip/ledge and evenly spaced from either wall, it still seems too long. There is about a 1/8"- 1/4" gap under the rail (between the bottom of the rail and the flat shower lip/ledge surface) because the ends of the bottom rail seem to still be hitting some of the curved portion of the corners. The shower lip/ledge is flat and level (put a level on it and verified) and I did verify my measurements (several times.) Not only is there the gap, but ths is affecting how the siderails fit. They won't completely "mate" with the bottom rail.
Is the gap and corner fit (or, right now, the lack thereof) normal or should I look at cutting a litte more off the bottom rail? Or, is there another option?
Thanks!

Mark, I'm having different problems with the same door. Try "filing" down the ends of the bottom rail, where it is contacting the curved corners. You might have to buy a metal file to accomplish this. Go heavy on the adhesive caulk on the underside of the bottom rail. Make sure the shower base is clean and dry. You might have to push down with your arms for several minutes to get the adhesive caulk to stick. Good luck, I have to go back to my folks this afternoon, because I can't get the door panel in w/o it scraping the top rail. Ugh.
