The Invicta 2731 Perpetual Cal. Minute Repeater uses a Citizen 6760 movement that was first used in the Citizen Campanola line in the early 1990's. Besides the Invicta version, Bulova also used the 6760 movement in its Bulova Millennia Perpetual Cal. Minute Repeater, also know as model 96C21.
The 6760 movement is quite complex boasting a mix of retrograde hands, sub dials, multiple alarms, calendar indications, and of course a minuter repeater function which pays homage to its 6 to 7 figure counterparts at a tiny fraction of the cost.
FYI... the minute repeater allows you to hear the time when it is not practical to look at the watch.
