Playstation won't stay turned on

Please try the following to remove your disc :

Turn the PS3 off completely

Hold the eject button.

While holding the eject button turn the PS3 on at the back.

This method should make the PS3 force eject the disc. Don't worry about the fan going really fast, this is normal.

Ok, please try the following. Turn your PS3 off at the back so no lights on at all. While holding the eject button turn your PS3 on. It should now force eject the disc. Dont worry if your fan starts spinning super fast, this is normal when you do this.

You will need to turn your PS3 off at the back again as usually the front button becomes unresponsive after this method.

Ok please try the following to force eject your disc. Turn off the power at the back of the PS3. Press and hold the eject button. Turn the power back on at the back of the machine. The fan should start to spin very fast but your disc should also be ejected.

Unfortunately, you are going to need to have your PS3 serviced by Sony. To eject your game, flip the power switch on the back of the PS3 to off. Then press and hold the eject button and turn the switch back to on again. This should eject the disc. Best of luck with the repair.

turn your system off by the back switch switch it up again when light turns red press eject button it should eject the game/bd/dvd

Try a video reset first.

While the PS3 is off (red led)

Hold down the power button until you hear the second beep, quickly release.

Let me know if that solves your problem otherwise it's a corrupt file system.

You will have to take a screwdriver to it, and open up the PS3, and remove the CD... once you do that make sure the console will stay on without the cd in the drive, do your update under systems menu then try ANOTHER game

try ejecting it by going to the game logo on xmb press triangle and hit eject from there .....if that dont work turn it off then while turning it back on hit the eject button while its booting up (that works for PC's)

Your PS2 is definitely broken. Either send it in to Sony to be repaired or buy a new PS3. Bummer. Sorry to hear about this.

Touch the eject button on the PLAYSTATION 3 system front for 10 seconds or longer to force the disc to eject. After removing and before reinserting a disc into the PLAYSTATION 3, turn off the system, and then turn on the system again to resume use.
