SOURCE: Asus eee PC 900 keyboard
Please don't multi post the same problem.
Your keyboard will obviously show the wrong thing still but if you go into settings, personalization, keyboard layout you can then change the layout.
I'm afraid I don't think that you can buy a new azerty keyboard separately as an eee pc spare part. Maybe you can if you contact asus.
Hope this helps,

SOURCE: keyboard for my ASUS Eee PC 1000H is not working
Hello, I'm not actually sure if you can do this by yourself, or you might just have to get a technician to fix it for you.
What I would suggest that you should do is to get a replacement keyboard for the laptop, you can even buy it from an electronics store by yourself and get a technician to fix it for you (If you cant do it by yourself), this way it would be cheaper.
This is because it is not always advisable to try and repair a laptop keyboard, because one way or the other, it would still develpo problem again. So its better you change it outright and put the inconvenience behind you.
Hope this helps.
Goodluck!

On the backside of the connector where the ribbon goes there is a small strip of plastic there.LIFT IT UP ON BOTH ENDS,SLIDE THE RIBBON DOWN INTO IT.WHILE THE RIBBON IS IN IT,PUSH THE STRIP OF PLASTIC BACK DOWN MAKING SURE THE RIBBON STAYS IN PLACE (ALL THE WAY DOWN) WHILE PUSHING IT DOWN.You may have to try it a few times to get it snug in the motherboard connection.Good luck!
SOURCE: remove keyboard on asus 900hd
Usually you have to remove the panel between keyboard and LCD by prying it up after taking the screws out. Then you should find two screws at the top of the keyboard, then pull the LCD and remove the entire top of the laptop, the mousepad in screwed to the top. Remeber to pull all screws from the back of the laptop before doing anything.

replace the keyboard. the structure of the keyboard of a laptop is different in the structure of the keyboard of the desktop.
The keyboard takes a lot of abuse and as durable as it is, they will eventually wear out. It is a very inexpensive part to replace and does not require a lot of skill. The fact that the touch pad is acting up could indicate that they are interconnected. I would replace both. The Touch pad is a more involved part to replace and I would suggest you get some help or pay to have it replaced.
You can order them off of sites like eBay, then watch a YouTube video on how to do it.
