Sounds as if it just a broken belt. Take the back off and find where the belt is located to see if broken. Depending on the washer they can be easy to fix

I have the ATR6700FS1 front load washer. It goes fine until the spin cycle. It pauses & when I hit restart it makes a noise & doesn't spin. If I hit cancel & go to the spin cycle it

Hello Deanna Lytle - Often when a unit does not spin, it is because the unit cannot properly drain and dispose of the water and detergent solution. Does the unit make a humming noise? If so, the drainage hose/pump may be clogged and needs to be cleaned. If not, the washer may possibly be experiencing an issue with the door lock assembly, faulty pump, timer or control board not communicating correctly. Because it could be a number of any one of several underlying causes, I would recommend contacting a professional to properly diagnose and repair the unit.

Washer won't spin after rinse cycle

Hello Dorothy - Does the drain pump make a humming noise? If so, there may be a restriction in the drain line or siphoning. Otherwise since it is such a complex unit I would recommend contacting a professional to have either the pump or timer diagnose.

Kenmore 90 plus series washer won't spin, barely agitates, will drain - but makes loud noise

It sounds like the transmission is done. Can't pinpoint what it is exactly, but I would start there.

Wash machine won't spin all the time and makes a loud banging noise.

Check to make sure that your clothes are not piled to one side causing the load to be off-balance. If that does'nt fix it then, It may be that your machine has a balance stabilizer on it that has worked its way loose or even off.

Hi, I own a Whirlpool Thin Twin Model# LT5000XSN1. I bought it used from a CRAPPY dealer (worst mistake EVER), since day one, we have had an issue with the spin cycle. The cycle will agitate then when the...

This sounds like a classic clogged empty pump issue. The empty cycle is timed and then it steps on to the spin cycle. The machine won't spin if there is still water in the bottom of the drum. When you reset it to a spin cycle again, you are making it run through the empty cycle again, finally getting rid of the water that the clogged filter could not evacuate on the first attempt.

You need to clean the empty pump filter. Now... Where is the filter???? Hmmmm... not sure. It MAY be behind a little panel in the front of the machine near the bottom. I can't find a picture of the machine on the net so I'm not sure.

Clean the filter, I'll bet your problem goes away. You have to wonder why the idiot who sold the machine to you hasn't suggested this!
