Error 5200 is a print head temperature rise error according to the Service Manual. The suggested replacement parts are the print head and/or the logic board - Expensive. It's supposed to be accompanied by 8 alternate cycles of the orange and green lights.
Page 1-5 of the Service Manual.
excessive cleaning cycles can cause heat buildup, but it should cool between jobs with enough time.

How do you print a power point ?

You need the PowerPoint application (part of Microsoft Office) on a computer with a printer.

If you do not have Microsoft Office, you may download the free Libre Office here: http://www.libreoffice.org/ that will allow printing both ppt and pptx files. One warning though: the presentation may look a little different when using Libre Office Impress (= the presentation program like PowerPoint).

I hope this helps!

I kept getting service error 5200 when I tried printing something. How do I fix this problem?

Hi there

Service error code 5200 is the print head error. Rub the print head into a plain paper with rubbing alcohol until ink flows and then after that remove all the USB cable connection and power cord and plug it again. Then run the print head cleaning maintenance like print nozzle or print alignment.

It should be fine right now. Please let me know if you need more help

What is error code 5200 on a mp830 all in one cannon printer mean?

Canon printer error code 5200 is a technological malfunction that stops printing of a canon printer. The error is registered on the screen when the temperature of the ink cartridge is high. There are no concentrations of ink present on the ink cartridges. The print head of the printer is also heated by a temperature rise resulting in an error code of 5200. Error code 5200

- unplug the power n usb cord
- keep the headprint inside the craddle
- try to move the headprint into full right-corner(headprint
cleaningside)by moving-left the craddle belt until u heard
some "snapp" sound
- plug the powercord again
- if u heard "cleaning progress" then u r printer going to respond
- try to print 'printer test page' or 'nozzle check'
- if it succeed, try to print some 5-10 pages continuous

the dreaded 'Error 5200'. According to PrintX, the error is caused by printer head overheating and I think thats correct because whenever I touch the "Do not touch/ hands off" part of the print head, I feel some SCALDING heat.

TIPS. 1. Plug out your printer when not in use. Never let it undergo standby mode. Plug it in ONLY when it is needed. The reason behind this is that your printer only needs VERY little amount of electricity (around 5-24 V at 0.2-0.55 A, stepped down by its built-in transformer) and after a length of time, excessive heat accumulates not only in the heat board but also in the sensitive print head. Unlike how our computers heat up, the heat in the print head is SCALDING!. This is based from experience. Try touching your printer's too.

IP1500 error5200
1. Set "ink counter reset" (If you chage cartridge new one or refill).
2. Set "low ink warning setting" as default.
3. Unplug power and USB cable.
4. Waiting 10 min.
5. pluging in power and USB cable.
Please make 1 step and check result.
Good luck

When printing large powerpoint presentations half way through it will give a pcl xl error missingdata readimage

too much data or not enough memory in your printer to support the job.

Also possibly corrupted data in your powerpoint doc.

if you are using PCL version of the driver, download and setup the PS (PostScript) driver from HP.

There are conflicts with printing PDF/Powerpoint docs using PCL driver.

let us know if this helps. Another thing you can try if possible, convert the Powerpoint into a PDF file and then try printing, but select "Print as Image" in the Advanced section of the print options.

My canon mp830

Error code 5200 means the print head temperature is too high. The only was to resolve this error is either replace the print head or replace the logic board. The print head is available, part number QY6-0061 but you will struggle to find a logic board. The only other thing you can try is resetting the EEPROM on the logic board, this sometimes clears the error. A service manual will show you how to do this: http://www.tradebit.com/filedetail.php/4546483-canon-pixma-mp830-printer-service-manual
