My usb port being not detected

Unplug all your usb devices. Go to device manager, then >USB controllers and delete all the controllers in there, it will not delete some, just delete all the ones it will allow you to. then reboot the system. Plug in each usb device one at a time and it should find each one.

If the BIOS cannot detect any USB ports then this laptop cannot have an USB port as a boot device, because the firmware BIOS does not support this.
The USB port is useable only when Windows is up and running when the USB driver is operating.

lol no it has nothing to do with your bios. I'm surprised that if you know your way around a bios that you would head there. You need a driver for the mouse. In case you do know more than i am giving credit then here's what to do if you already have the driver. Go into device manager and delete anything under the mouse section that is not your touchpad. then plug the usb mouse back in.

go to device maneger delete all usb devices,reboot sys will auto detect good ports and reinstall drivers should take care of problem,good luck!

Connect the NetGear USB adapter to the USB port of your Laptop, wait for the Laptop to detect the hardware. Once the new hardware is detected put the Driver CD into your laptop CD drive which came along with the product and open the file. Click on auto run and let the driver to be installed. Once the driver is installed the Wireless USB adapter is ready to work

1. first check ur USB port using any other USB device, like pen drive, mouse, keyboard,etc.
if system detects that device, then ur USB port is OK!

2. if USB is OK, then the problem is with the 'Printer Driver' not the cord!

3. reinstall the printer driver!

4. update the driver!

5. if USB port is not working, then replace it!

I fixed the problem by going to "Device Manager," then to the "Universal Bus". Under "Universal Bus" are a list of the individual USB ports. You have to delete each one individually. When you delete each one, a window opens up which gives you various headers; select "drivers" and hit "uninstall". When you hit "uninstall", windows will ask if you want to proceed. Select "Yes". You'll then get a "warning" that the computer may not work correctly if do this procedure. You want to proceed with the deletion of each Universal Bus port. Once you've removed the Universal Bus ports, then reboot windows. Windows will detect the individual Bus ports and find new drivers for them. Once the drivers are installed (automatically by Windows), the USB ports will be operational.

check it on device manager whether the printer is detecting or not, or put usb cable on some different port then check, also uninstall the drivers, then install it again

A usb device may have blown out some of the ports, If you have at least one working usb, get a powered usb hub to get more ports.

try to install the USB port drivers .
