Samsung refridgerator regularly beeps with power freeze switching on and off

Hi, I have a samsung RS21DPSM side by side refrigerator. The problem is that my fridge regularly starts beeping while the power freeze goes on and off. This can sometimes go on for about 10 minutes. When it gets stuck into power freeze the temperature can then go up to -30. Is there anyone that knows the problem and can help me with this? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like a faulty temperature sensor calling and not calling for the power freeze to come on. Change the sensor!

Thanks Leigh. can the sensor activate the power freeze function without having pressed the power freeze button? Any suggestion on where to source the sensor.

Go to the samsung website and request parts or parts availability!

SOURCE: refridgerator beeps and upper section not working

First, the Samsung Refrigerator is the only fridge that has one compressor, but two different evaporators to operate the freezer and the refrigerator separately. Thus, you can have the bottom freezer working fine, while the fridge part will not.
The reason your fridge is not working is probably a faulty door switch in the refrigerator. The switch is malfunctioning, telling the computer that the door is open. Therefore you hear the door alarm go off in intervals, even though the door is actually closed. If the computer registers an open door, it will not pump cool air into the refrigerator, as that would be a waste of energy. All you need to do is replace the door switch. Until you get a new one, you can temporarily fix your fridge by simply removing the old switch altogether. You will not have any light in the fridge, however, it will cool again just fine until you are able to install the new switch (a simple plug-in contraption, by the way).
Hope this helps.

SOURCE: Samsung RB1855SW won't stop beeping and fridge malfunctioning

Thanks so much for the advice. I just gently pried the door sensor switch on my Samsung RB1855SL out with a butter knife and then pulled out the electrical connection and it fired up right away. It looks like some orange juice seeped in and corroded it. What a relief to have the fridge working again, not to mention to not have to listen to the beeping.

My Samsung RS21DPSM is not freezing, the fridge is working and the fan in the fridge is not loud. The freezer is not freezing.

Check the condenser fan in the compressor department. The fan motor is know to fail. The refrigerator and freezer temps will be cool but not cold. I would start there.

Samsung fridge freezes milk and food

I would say it probably needs defrosted. Check for thick ice buildup, more then 1 inch. Remove gently as possible. May just need turned down a bit. Adjustment is inside refridgerator on side or above top shelf. Best of luck. Hope this has helped!

The filter light came on and tghe fidge started beeping. we replaced the filter but the fidge continues to beep. This a side by side Samsung --6 months old.

FILTER RESET
When the filter is replaced, reset the indicator by pressing the “POWER FREEZE” and
“ICE TYPE” button for 3 second at the same time.
If this doesn't work I would call 1800Samsung and have them send a technician to your home to help. The refrigerator does come with a one year parts and labor warranty. Hopefully this helps.
