If possible, go into your media library and save them to a flash drive. Then take them to your PC and transfer them to any folder you like, preferably a folder specifically marked for PS3 stuff. I'm assuming that the videos are actually saved in the video folder on the PS3, but if they aren't they are probably in your saved data. Either way, you can transfer them to you PC freeing up space to save more on the PS3 system. I have done this myself with other saved data as well as video and haven't had any problems moving them back and forth.

Good Music Downloading Programs
Since the invention of MP3 players, purchasing CDs has become much less popular.
Many people, especially younger generations, prefer to do everything on a computer -- it's much quicker and already in the right format for music players.
Free music-download programs allow users to share their music.
Frostwire
FrostWire is an improved version of LimeWire it doesn't transmit viruses and is much faster.
It has a built-in music player to preview your tunes as they download; a library that shows your shared, incomplete and saved files; and a community chat service.
This simple-to-navigate program is probably one of the most common download programs, so there's usually many results for searches.
http://www.frostwire.com/
Bit Torrent
BitTorrent is the best torrent-downloading software. http://www.bittorrent.com/
It's a little more complicated than direct music sharing programs, but it's much quicker for downloading full albums or complete discographies.
The best sites from which to download torrent files are The Pirate Bay and Mininova (See Below).
http://thepiratebay.org/ http://www.mininova.org/
This program works well for people with large download needs; however, for single songs, it's not worth the hassle.
Ares Galaxy
Ares Galaxy is a lesser-known product but is definitely one of the most efficient.

Its library and playback features are advanced enough to render most music players obsolete, and it is compatible with both audio and video.
All songs download directly to the library in less than five minutes and can be organized by artist, genre or album.
Search results are extensive and are returned in less than 60 seconds.
Also, a chat service allows you to directly exchange files with other users.
Overall, this is a fast, well-organized program with multiple advantages.

Every time its gets to 62% is says an error with (8002F997) ive tired the method by swiching the media sever to disable but that didnt work. what eles do i do

Error code "8002F997" means your PS3 is having issues updating your system software directly via internet. As a workaround you'll use external storage media, such as a USB thumb drive, to transfer the software to your PS3

1. Requirements

- A USB cable (not necessary if using a USB thumb drive)
- A PC with Internet access
- Storage media or a USB Mass Storage device such as a USB flash drive

2. Downloading and saving the software

- Plug in your USB drive to your computer, and create a folder on the storage media in which to save the update data. Create a folder named "PS3" on the storage media/USB device. Within the PS3 folder, create a folder named "UPDATE".

- Download the update data from

http://dus01.ps3.update.playstation.net/update/ps3/image/us/2011_0310_91ee193a2fa921a6fce780fc40236e3b/PS3UPDAT.PUP

and save it in the "UPDATE" folder.

Note:

Be sure to save the update data as noted below. If the data is not saved in the correct way, the PS3 will not recognize the update data. The folder name must be in all uppercase letters.

-> Location: Save in the "PS3" folder > "UPDATE" folder
-> File name: Save as file name "PS3UPDAT.PUP".

3. Updating the PS3 software

Note:

Do not turn off the PS3, or remove the USB drive, during the software update!

- Insert the USB drive/storage media into the PS3
- On your PS3, from Home Menu (second icon from the left) -> System Update ->Select [Update via Storage Media].

The system automatically searches for and finds the update data saved on the storage media or USB device.

I have singstar on the PS 3.. which was fine until it updated a couple of daysd ago...... when I try to play it now, it loads so far, then asks whaT LANGUAGE i WANT...... WHEN i CLICK eNGLISH (us), IT...

The update did not install properly. I have seen allot of problems with update ver. 3.56.
You will have to do a system restore and then try the update again, yes you will be required to do the update to do any on-line play or download any previously downloaded content. Remember to back up your system onto a USB flash drive or you will lose any saved data.

Good Luck!

I downloaded the update but the pc cannot open the file . the updater is called eboot. i have it in my pc but cannot open it

The file is not supposed to be opened by your PC. You have the transfer the file from your PC to the PSP. To do this, you need a USB cable and you have to plug your PSP into your PC.

Download procedure
  1. Prepare to save the update data on either system storage or Memory Stick Micro™ (M2)™ media, using one of the following methods:
    • Connect the PSP® system to the PC using the USB cable
    • Connect a commercially available Memory Stick USB reader/writer to the PC
    • Use the Memory Stick slot on a PC
  2. Create a folder for the update data on either system storage or Memory Stick™ media.

Using your PC, create a folder named "PSP". Within the "PSP" folder, create a folder named "GAME". Within the "GAME" folder, create a folder named "UPDATE". (Folder names must be in all uppercase letters).
  3. Download the update data for the PSP-N1000 (PSP®go) series and save it in the "UPDATE" folder created in step 2.

Notice
You must save the downloaded data as noted in these instructions. If you do not save in the correct location and with the filename shown below, the system will not recognize the update data.
  • Location: Save in the "UPDATE" folder
  • Filename: Save as filename "EBOOT.PBP"

That's the best way to do over your PC to your USB. Create a folder on the storage media in which to save the update data.
Using a PC, create a folder named “PS3” on the storage media or USB device. Within the PS3 folder, create a folder named “UPDATE”.
  • Download the update data and save it in the UPDATE folder created in step 1. Select here to start the download.
Notice
Be sure to save the update data as noted below. If the data is not saved in the correct way, the PS3™ system will not recognize the update data.
  • Location: Save in the “PS3” folder > “UPDATE” folder
  • File name: Save as file name “PS3UPDAT.PUP”.
    Update procedure
Notices
  • Do not turn off the PS3™ system or remove the storage media or USB device during an update. If an update is cancelled before completion, the system software may become damaged, and the system may require servicing or exchange.
  • The power button on the PS3™ system front is not active during an update.
  1. Insert the storage media or USB device that contains the update data in the PS3™ system.
  2. From the home menu, select (Settings) > (System Update), and then press the button
The folder name must be in all uppercase letters.

Press the button to start the update data. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the update.

  5. Confirm that the update was successful.
After the update has been completed, go to (Settings) > (System Settings) > [System Information]. If the System Software field displays the version number of the update, the update was successful.
Hint
You can delete the update data from the storage media or USB device after the update has been successfully completed.

Saving my music

Windows media player is probably right because you have moved the music to another location. You might need to rebuild the library.

Use Windows Explorer to check that the music is on the new drive.

Can I also recommend downloading Winamp to play your music, It's free, sounds better and doesn't spy on you!
