You need to go into the maintenance menu.

Take out the red safety stop key, hold down the "start", "stop" and "Enter" buttons, keep holding them down while putting the red key back in (a bit tricky), keep holding the keys down until you see "Maintenance menu" scrolling (this will happen as long as you didn't let go of the three keys).

Initially when you put the red key in it'll might show software version etc, after a few seconds it'll change to maintenance menu. Use the speed UP and Down buttons on the console or arm to scroll through menu until you reach "FUNCTIONS" press enter.

In the functions sub-menu, depending on what year model/software version it has, it should have a selection called "Sleep Timer" if so set it using up down keys to "ON". If your model doesn't have "sleep timer" listed (i.e. a newer model) it's now just called "DISPLAY" and in that case set it to "OFF". That should fix it.

Press Stop, to go back. If you want you can disable the key tone/training beeping as well in the "functions" sub-menu of the "maintenance menu".

To exit press stop repeatedly until you're back to the normal display.

SOURCE: F63 sole treadmill, low speed error when inclined

If the calibration does not pass you may need to check the speed sensoralignment. You must understand the instruction for calibration is under the hood for motor.
1) Remove the motor cover hood by loosening the 4 screws that hold it inplace (you do not need toremove them completely).2) The speed sensor is located on the left side of the frame, right nextto the front roller pulley (thepulley will have a belt around it that also goes to the motor). Thespeed sensor is small and blackwith a wire connected to it.3) Make sure the sensor is as close as possible to the pulley withouttouching it. You will see a magneton the face of the pulley; make sure the sensor is aligned with themagnet. There is a screw thatholds the sensor in place that needs to be loosened to adjust thesensor. Re-tighten the screw whenfinished.

2) if the problem persist you must Test the main motor for open, ground 3) the main control board faulty. See the block diagram that I did as person like you that understand that 90% of functions the main motor controller board has effect.

SOURCE: my sole treadmill turns my in line light times on

Dear Sir:

Watch this video:

If I can undertand very well, the problem is intermitent.

a) Check the power cord,( some wire is broken internal)
b) Look for cool solder ( re-solder)+loose connections cause intermitent operation!
c)Inspection the breaker, for loose connection, test the breaker.
d) check the transformer as indicated above.
e)and finally check the power supply after the transformer: a) resistor b) capacitors c) diodes, all this component can be loose, bad solder or cool, or broken, or short, open, or shorcircuit.

If you need further assistance, please reach me, sincerely. God bless you.

Treadmill will not enter Factory Settings or Engineering mode. Can I reset the software? I spoke with Sole and they cannot help.

Idk how old your treadmill is but sole offers very good warranties on some parts even up to 5 years so maybe you can have them go out and repair it for you BUT from the sound of it they could not help you out so the only thing left is to do simple troubleshooting.

You can try just resetting the power switch, to off. Disconnect the power cord from the outlet and leave the machine be for about three minutes.

Reconnect and switch back on, then just Press and Hold the START, STOP, and ENTER key at the same time, until it displays "engineering mode" (it might say maintenance depending on the version) then just press the ENTER key.

If it works you can scroll through the menu with the SPEED UP and DOWN keys.

If it does not let you still, you might have an issue in your console and it needs replacing but it is not limited to just the console, there could also be an issue with a component on the Main Board (Circuit Board) or other electrical components.

Hope this helps!

Sadly we do not carry any sole products yet, but we would be happy to help you find a technician in your area to come out and help.

You can give us a call at 888-713-2880 or talk with us by chat at www.sportsmith.net Good luck on the repair :)

How do I fix a sole F63 treadmill that accelerates to maximum speed after about 30 minutes of use?

usually the motor will be controlled by a triac its a silicon device you apply more volts to a pin to allow more current to flow thru it
between its two other pins
so its used to control the motor speed

its more likely its a problem before the triac
a 'driver' device
i would take the control board out and examine it carefully for any blackened devices

so to rule out this drive chain i would take the board to a service tech like a TV repair guy and ask him to cast his eye over it
i usually get a few beers from people to do this as a bribe
always works for me and you would be surprised
you could take a photo or two as jpg in macro mode of the board
component side and post them and i can cast my eyes over them for free..

Sole E55 console display flashing "Need Lube"

Got a Sole elliptical machine? Is it displaying a NEED LUBE error message when you turn it on? Tyler at Sole service told me this is a software bug. It appears every 180 miles of usage, and it was really only intended for treadmills, not ellipticals.
You can clean and lubricate the rails and wheels - and you should - but the error message won't go away. Instead, you can get rid of it by resetting the odometer. First, press and hold the Start, Enter, and Stop buttons for five seconds to enter engineering mode. Use the arrow keys to select FUNCTIONS, then select ODO RESET and press Enter. Turn the machine off and on again, and voila, no error message.
Thanks Tyler! Happy exercising!

Sole treadmill says "INITIAL" on the screen and won't run. This occurred after I removed the magnetic emergency stop switch.

Normally you must put the key in the hole, after you press the button start and ready.
However I recommend you to follow the instr. manual for easy start. Since that every manufacturer has a little diferrent mode of start. If you do not have it download free from

Kenmore 70121 air conditioner

There should be a sleep mode button on the remote. Press this then pres ok/enter.
Note: In this "MODE" the selected temperature will increase by 2 degrees F 30 minutes after the mode is selected. The temperature will then increase by another 2 degrees F after an additional 30 minutes. This new temperature will be maintained for 7 hours before it returns to the originally selected temperature. This ends the "Sleep" MODE and the unit will continue to operate as originally programmed. The "Sleep" MODE program can be canceled at any time during operation by pressing; Sleep MODE, "On/Off", "Fan Only" or the "V//X" buttons, on either the Control or the Remote. "Time Delay Stop" limit reached will also end "sleep" MODE.

Sole treadmill keeps shutting off and display code reads "System Initializing" After using for 15 minutes

sounds like overheating or memory issues. could simply be a bad connection somewhere. If the time it takes to shut off remains pretty constant then I'd suggest a capacitor on the electronic circuit board is on its way out.

The treadmill speed is faster than reallife speed. I can easily run 7 minute miles on the roads (not racing, just running) and my wife is an eight minute metronome. But on the treadmill if I set it below...

the speed of treadmills are based on the companies regulations and are machine made. so they might not be 100% accurate. a treadmill is a simulated devise so it is never the same. var fctb_tool=null; function FCTB_Init_c8c9213424bf492d84f2bfaa8e62c574(t) { fctb_tool=t; start(fctb_tool); } FCTB_Init_c8c9213424bf492d84f2bfaa8e62c574(document['FCTB_Init_c3525ba5f17e4280b024b96d82d11976']); delete document['FCTB_Init_c3525ba5f17e4280b024b96d82d11976'] var fctb_tool=null; function FCTB_Init_6836227ebca14782a6c9f0284529fff9(t) { fctb_tool=t; start(fctb_tool); } FCTB_Init_6836227ebca14782a6c9f0284529fff9(document['FCTB_Init_f3124b0bb88c423dafd62627ed1118bc']); delete document['FCTB_Init_f3124b0bb88c423dafd62627ed1118bc']
