The treadmill will not go into sleep mode at all. It is supposed to enter sleep mode after 30 minutes of no use.
You need to go into the maintenance menu.
Take out the red safety stop key, hold down the "start", "stop" and "Enter" buttons, keep holding them down while putting the red key back in (a bit tricky), keep holding the keys down until you see "Maintenance menu" scrolling (this will happen as long as you didn't let go of the three keys).
Initially when you put the red key in it'll might show software version etc, after a few seconds it'll change to maintenance menu. Use the speed UP and Down buttons on the console or arm to scroll through menu until you reach "FUNCTIONS" press enter.
In the functions sub-menu, depending on what year model/software version it has, it should have a selection called "Sleep Timer" if so set it using up down keys to "ON". If your model doesn't have "sleep timer" listed (i.e. a newer model) it's now just called "DISPLAY" and in that case set it to "OFF". That should fix it.
Press Stop, to go back. If you want you can disable the key tone/training beeping as well in the "functions" sub-menu of the "maintenance menu".
To exit press stop repeatedly until you're back to the normal display.
RUN the software calibration, for easy diagnose, troubleshooting, and fix it.
Happy new year. God bless you

If the calibration does not pass you may need to check the speed sensoralignment. You must understand the instruction for calibration is under the hood for motor.
1) Remove the motor cover hood by loosening the 4 screws that hold it inplace (you do not need toremove them completely).2) The speed sensor is located on the left side of the frame, right nextto the front roller pulley (thepulley will have a belt around it that also goes to the motor). Thespeed sensor is small and blackwith a wire connected to it.3) Make sure the sensor is as close as possible to the pulley withouttouching it. You will see a magneton the face of the pulley; make sure the sensor is aligned with themagnet. There is a screw thatholds the sensor in place that needs to be loosened to adjust thesensor. Re-tighten the screw whenfinished.
2) if the problem persist you must Test the main motor for open, ground 3) the main control board faulty. See the block diagram that I did as person like you that understand that 90% of functions the main motor controller board has effect.
good luck. sincerely. God bless you.

Dear Sir:

If I can undertand very well, the problem is intermitent.
a) Check the power cord,( some wire is broken internal)
b) Look for cool solder ( re-solder)+loose connections cause intermitent operation!
c)Inspection the breaker, for loose connection, test the breaker.
d) check the transformer as indicated above.
e)and finally check the power supply after the transformer: a) resistor b) capacitors c) diodes, all this component can be loose, bad solder or cool, or broken, or short, open, or shorcircuit.
If you need further assistance, please reach me, sincerely. God bless you.
