Blower runs all the time even with unit turned off and on auto. ar49-1

This should have a time delay sequencer for the blower in the a/c mode. These are bad about being interminent in the a/c mode and also in fan. I have had some that would freeze up and I would get there and the fan be running. Thaw out and check and everything be ok. Got to cycling the fan on and off and sooner or later it would get where fan didn't come on. After replacement the customer didn't have anymore problem. Check the rely, looks like a heat sequencer but mounted on plate to blower compartment.

you have lost all control voltage. that is generated in the furnace. either the transformer has failed or the fuse in the transformer board has blown or the circuit breaker to the furnace has tripped or you have an open circuit to the furnace in the high voltage wiring. grab a volt meter and start with checking high volts at the furnace and back to the panel. if you have volts then start checking to see if transformer is generating low volts. as a side, if this is a furnace be sure the door is on secure and the door safty switch is depressed or guess what! no fan no volts no nothing. if any lights on board are flashing etc then you have power and it becomes a control problem. be sure your low voltage is getting sent to the stat via red and common on the furnace terminal board. good luck

most likely the heating speed relay on your furnaces IFC board has failed.Unfortunately the entire IFC must be replaced to repair this. you are in need of a professional service tech. The same control handles the blower fan, ignition system and safeties. Not a do-it-yourself repair as wires in the wrong place could cost you a house.

You need to call someone who truely knows what they're doing. From your decription, the person you had out should not be working on units. You have a problem most likely caused be the person that installed the new motor and these units are not designed to be worked on by the homeowner. There are hazards that could cause damage or injury.
