Freezer works ok.refrigerator temp varies from 39 deg.to 60 deg.

If you unplug it you must wait for at least 15 minutes before restarting the unit. This goes for any refrigerator so the coolant system can equalize and the compressor will restart.

There are 3 components involved with this error code. The defrost thermistor, The defrost thermostat and the main control board. Most likely you have defrost thermistor or themostat that is open and the compressor will NOT start because the power for the comprssor has been interrupted by the automatic defrost cycle and nothing is telling the unit that it has completed the automatic defrost cycle so the unit does not restart. The thermistor and the thermostat would be #1 on troubleshooting list. The thermistor will have varied resistance 10,000 Ohms and under and the thermostat is supposed to be OPEN / have continuity above 60 deg F and closed below 60 Deg F. .

If you need parts information I need your COMPLETE model number (Not Kenmore elite)
Example would be 110.11112222 (not your model number and all numbers willmost likely be different) I think your model number will start with 795.something because this unit was made by LG.

Yes, Airflow is what cools the frig. Check for frost buildup on the coils indicating a problem in the defrost components r a fan not running fast enough. Eric

Is the fan that moves the air from the freezer to fridge running If there is a switch in cabinet somewhere the freezer door would contract it, with door open push in switch hear the fan both are good. Don't hear fan check evaporator or freezer fan and that switch it may be a duel switch open light closed fan run. Tricky there are light switches, when out light on or when switch is in its lights out

Remove the freezer shelves and bins. Remove the freezer back panel to access the fan motor.

your freezer had a heater and a bi metal behind its pannel. if they won't work properly than you would face problem like this.......contact your service authority. it cannot be solved by your own

Did you clean the condenser?  Is the unit FULLY defrosted?   Defrost fully!!!!!!
Did he check the amount of gas in the unit?  If your unit has low gas...it is in need of more.  R12 is expensive.
Check gas level:  Shut unit for at least one hour.  View compressor.  Several pipes...we're looking at the largest.  Start the unit.  This pipe will begin to frost.  If it does not clear to dry, ice or wet...stays frosted...it is low.  Get the repair guy back ... but ask how much he'll charge first.

thatts exactly right , the "thermostat that runs the compressor, in the refrig compartment never gets to warm to cycle the unit on/off. come spring itll work like a champ again,, ambien t temp cant be below 60 deg F

Kenmore 22 cft side by side does not have air circulation. Freezer is cold at the bottom (ranges 5-45 deg from bottom to top). Refrigerator section is 30- 60 deg from bottom to top. Thermostat is good; compressor is working; no ice deposit on the evaporator coils; condenser coils have been cleaned; defrost heater is working. I do not feel the air draft I used to notice whenever opened refrigerator door. Is it possible that the air recirculation fan not operating. Location of this fan in the refrigerator? Regards, Prem
