Hello, sorry that you moncular will not turn on. It seems that these Russian manufactured monocular, binoculars, scopes have really cheap intensifier tube in them. They just wake up then die. It's cost prohibitive to have it repaired because Night Owl will not sell parts for NV devises to any one. Look on eBay and they are quit of few of this NV monoculars for auction and also for parts. The image intensifier tube is 90% of the cost of any NV devises. GB...stewbison
Yes, install a new image
intensifier tube, and if it not that. Troubleshoot the other electronic
components in the scope. If you take it apart, draw diagrams of the printed
circuit boards and where the wire attach to them. Also, label those white teflon
wires. They are all the same color.
Make diagrams how it came a part, where the shims go and how many. and If it
has a green image intensifier tube in it Then it is Russian made, ATN and a lot
of there NV companies here in the US use foreign components to make their NV
devises. There are a lot of countries in the world that manufactured NV devises
and there components. Feel free to ask me some of question. I'll be happy to
help you repair your ATN Viper Goggles.
ATN will not sell you parts for your Viper. It called "proprietary". It means
it their stuff and they are the only ones that can repair them. Yes, I have
repaired their repaired factory NV stuff. They leave screw out and other things;
in which, they don't do. But they will diffidently charge you.
Hello, there really nothing I can tell you until I get some clarification on you Bushnell NV audio amp. If it is new then send it back. Did you fill out your warranty card? Also, since they call it a audio scope 26-300 do you need to use ear phones with it? GB...stewbison
Hey, the a good probility that it dust. I don't know how ATN seals it NV scopes. But the 50 will shake it to the extreme that it will loosen everything in the scope. Did ATN say it can be used on a BMG 50. How is your nut and screw working hey. stewbison
You must connect using a firewire cable to the camera firewire port and computer.
Firewire may also be called iLink or IEEE1394a.
Open Windows Movie Maker for PCs or iMovie using a Mac.
Any other video editing application will also work.
What type of NV devise do you have, scope, monocular or binocular? I would guess that it not green, hey- but white. The image tube could be bad, or it's OK, or the power supply isn't providing the correct KV to the image tube. This NV needs to have it electroni components trouble shot. Call the ATN and see what what they charge. Just remember, they are out to make money. They could tell you, it not worth fixing, and they will give you credit on a new one. Russian made. stewbison
Hello. you do know that NV devise are to be used during the black hours of the
night. Any type of bright lights will burn out the multi-plate coating. It only
take a few time and the image intensifier tube is gone. The generation 3 and 3+
image tubes have auto gating that is, if the sensor detects bright lights with
shut down. Now, this help but bright light with even the generations of image
tube. It will still destroy them.
To get repaired you can send it to ATN in California. Just for them to take a
look and see what wrong will $100+ plus shipping both ways and the cost of parts
that is, if they have the parts.
What they will try to do, is that they will take your 258 scope in for trade.
Then have you up grade from this 6 year old NV scope to a new model. They could
also tell you it's not repairable.
Now, I have repair a few of the MK ATN NV scopes, and all the image
intensifier tubes are manufactured in Russia, and there is good possibility that
the hole scope was manufactured there.
The Russian manufactures will just print the American Vendor name and logo on
the scope, monocular, binocular that they manufacture. You send to me and I will
take look at and try to find a new image tube for it. drawbridge21.q.com.
