My Traxxas EZ Starter does not turn on the green led of glow plug more.

The blue wire, that is the positive polo of the glow plug, has a silicone cover, so soft; and the wire is touching the top of cilinder head. If the blue cover has any cut and has a contact with metal of cylinder head, will happen an internal short circuit at the component of Ez Starter with code LM358N (with 8 legs). Just change this component and the green led of glow plug will turn on again.

SOURCE: starting problem

Could be a bad glow plug. I would start there, they are inexpensive and easy to change.

SOURCE: wont start have a traxxas revo 3.3

Hello!! ,

To the point!!! , All gas cars are "Nitro" , there are "Gas" Cars but there more expensive and fairly new... , by my experience Ez starters dont have wires on them in order to start the motor.. , if you cut!! a wire.. in there maybe it could be it... , but these cars dont need ground wire.... ,Sooo if u say its ground wire i dont think theres a problem , its only incase if there's an electrical over-out-charge that will put the chips in danger... , so THIS MESSAGE IS QUITE COMPLICATED : ) ... ,
and it shouldn't turn over there not designed that way , only if you put another motor that maybe is'nt apropriate that has more speed or power if i may or it does'nt have a back "Wheel" Slider..., and if the gears got something in it well... , maybe they might chiped a "Tooth" there and is not gearing well wich may lead to more gear problems as u can imagine , check the steering batteries too , or maybe it just needs "Idle-ing" so the motor can run Fine and Dandy like Tom Hanks says jaja , but i think the problem is that your not Idle-ing it well in twisting the Knob fairly 1/8 at a time to get a smooth sense and sound of the motor because it can over heat , or maybe there's something about the carburator that's not working well , Orrrr maybe it needs a clean with white Gas in unscrewing all the "Motors" Parts and cleaning them for a while so the motor can run better , Ive got an Exceed Rc "Mad Storm" so im kinda of guessing but they all work quite almost the same , Hope this helps : ) Ciao!!!!!

How do i reset my rc traxxas stampede?

Hi there,

I don't believe the reset (or syncing) is necessary on this model. However, on similar models you pull the batteries from the vehicle and the remote. Wait 30 seconds. Replace with fresh (or tested as good) batteries.

Best regards

My revo is getting fuel light on start remote are on both motor and glow plug engine will just turn over but will not start up

Hi
You've checked the glow plug externally to see the wire get red? If so, as long as you've got fuel and fire then it has to start. My guess here is that you have either a bad glow plug, low batteries, fuel air leak or clogged pressure line. Put a charged battery into the starter. Remove the glow plug and try to start - fuel should spurt up through the glow plug opening. Now connect the glow plug and touch it to the engine. Try to start and you should see the glow plug wire glow red. (do this only for a second. Now disconnect the pressure tap from the muffler and try to start. All else fails, replace the fuel line to the carb and the pressure tap. Your carburetor can leak air through the rubber gasket . Also, Traxxas fuel tanks have a cracking problem. Good luck

I have a t maxx 2.5 and i had took the electric starter off and put a recoil sterter on and now how are my supposed to heat the glow plug

you can buy a glow plug igniter or do what i did and cut the engine off of your EZ-Start and just use it to heat the glow plug... it's easy to put the electric engine back on. so either way will work.

The thing you put on the back of the truck will not work only the motor lite comes on but i no its not the glow plug

Have you charged the battery in the EZ Start wand? If you have is the motor turning over at all? If the motor is turning over but not firing it could be the glow plug. If the motor trying to turn over but won't, the engine might be flooded. If it is flooded remove the glow plug and turn the truck upside down. Fuel will run out of the engine. If fuel runs out of the engine, put the truck back down on its wheels. Cover the engine head with a rag and turn the engine over with the EZ Start wand with the glow plug still out. This will remove all excess fuel from the engine. Reinstall glow plug and try to start again.
