Cannot get food bowl off the Oskar food processor

We don't have the manual and don't know what direction it is supposed to turn -- it won't move!

Don't grab it at the top of the bowl. That might break it. I use a butter knife to pry it slightly loose. We ran it under hot water to get it off, once. Glad to hear I'm not the only one who's had this problem.

My Oskar has two locking teeth on the bottom of the bowl. One at the 3 o'clock position and one at the 9 o'clock position. Grabbing the bowl at the bottom with one hand (using thumb and one finger), I twist clockwise (to the right) about 1/4 inch and the bowl unlocks and lifts off directly. (my unit's spindle doesn't have anything to do with locking the bowl. My unit must be 15 to 20 years old btw)

Cannot remove the bowl from sunbeam oskar

I followed everybody’s instructions About holding the bowl at the bottom at the two tabs but I did one important thing before that. I keep a bottle of mineral oil in my kitchen cupboard which I use for oiling my cutting boards and the black stone countertop that I use for making bread. I got a Q-tip, dipped it in the mineral oil, put a dab at each of the tabs on the side of the bowl and then followed the previous instructions. I turned the bowl clockwise and it popped right off. And you know what? It felt really, really good! Take care everybody!

I can't get the food bowl off the processing unit. i have removed the cover as the manual says. I have left the blade in as the manual says. The picture looks as thought you should just lift it...

On page 8 of the manual that I will give you the link to: leave the cover in place on the container. Use the cover to help remove the container. Rotate the cover clockwise 180 degrees until the two tabs on the cover meet the two container tabs. Continue to turn the cover, but do not press down as you turn, using your thumb against the tabs until the container is released. Empty the remaining food from the container.

How to disassemble the Sunbeam Oskar processor to wash.

Ours is hard to remove, too. I just hold the base with both hands, then put my left thumb and right index fingers on the parts of the bowl where it attaches to the base. Then push it, if I remember correctly, clockwise. This works far better than gripping the entire bowl.
