My RCA D52W20 52 in. Rear Projection projects a picture bigger than 52 in. it is like a 54 in. picture. It cuts off scores, scrolling stats and news on the bottom of the screen. Anyone have an idea???

My D52W26 rca is about a year old. Recently it will sometimes project a bigger picture than the size of the screen but whats more annoying is that it will for no apparent reason go to a 4:3 aspect ratio. This model doesn't even have that option for me to pick. The only option is the auto format(in advanced pic settings), which when i pick the picture just goes back to 4:3 and when i turn off auto format doesn't seem to matter. Does 3:2 pull down(off, on or advanced) have anything to do with it, Warranty issue? Please help!

picture dosen't fit the screen. Picture is larger than the screen. Aspect only adjusts upper and lower screen, not left to right. Tried unplugging everything, letting it set and hope it would default back to normal...however, didn't work. HELP! Thanks

I had the same problem. If you have a cox or cable one remote that works with your TV. You want to push the TV button on top and on the remote there should be 4 arrows pointing up down right and left. Push the button to the right or left and it should change the zoom feature to fit what you want.

I have the same problem, but only if I'm sending a 1080i signal. It also shifts the picture to the right so that the picture isn't centered on the screen.

Go into the menu and select picture settings and then advanced picture settings. I'm not sure on that model that you can manually change the aspect ratio from zoom to 16:9 or 4:3 ect... But select Auto Format and the TV will pre-select the correct format for viewing..... Any questions just let me know. Bill

My rca truflat tv projects a larger picture than the screen, its really annoying i play my 360 and it cuts off alot of the screen so i cant read messages on the left and right of the tv screen, there are no options to adjust the ratio so all there really is to do is to buy a new t.v. if you are reading this i recomend you do not waste your money on a TruFlat RCA T.V. If somebody has a solution please let me know it would save me money and would make me very pleased.

This is not new i have an older RCA 50 in the one that weighs a ton, and it does the same thing. it would format if you checked auto format off then on again but that only lasted for a short time, now it won't even do that. best hope is to contact the government here, www.usa.gov/topics/consumer/complaint.shtml , this will be what needs many complaints to trigger a recall. highlight, go to this sight, and file formal complaint. this is the only way i am aware of to cause a recall. please do this , don't give up. thanks

No help what so ever! I've tried that numerous times. Auto formatting is the only option as there is not option for manually changing the ratio. Any other suggestions?

That didn't help at all - there's no option to manually change the aspect ratio

Have you tried hitting the format picture button on your remote control. Seems the picture is in zoom mode. If you have a cable box for HD Channels then look on the remote for a button (format) or Screen size.

I need a screen protecter for a old model 56'

Cost a bundle, if available. Suggest you go to the City dump or local tv disposal station or local repair shops and ask for a Junker screen. They usually have them in the back. Work out a price, even if it's bigger, you can cut it down, be careful. Good Luck, Be Safe..

My tv zooms in and changes the format.

This is normal - you are zooming in on the picture. Most people use the zoom feature to "stretch" a widescreen movie so it will fit the screen.
