I have a Tag Heuer watch of some vintage, and just recently I noticed that the stopwatch reset button, third down the right side, had fallen off. I can slide the button back on but nothing retains it in place.
That's right, nothing will hold that button in place as clipspring has fallen off or broke and retains inside the watch. Do not wind or wear your watch now as that clipspring is freely floating inside movement and can damage your watch geartrain.
Find your nearest watch repair shop and ask to refit button with clipspring. Watchmaker will know how to do the job and how to get rid of any broken remains if there are any.
