Dirtlifter Powerbrush does not turn

I have the Bissell ProHeat 7901 series and I just bought it 2 days ago it worked fine to do my carpets and when I took it over to my parents house to shampoo there carpets I got the machine ready to shampoo.I turned the machine on and the brushes moved for about a minute then the brushes stopped.I opened the belt access door and the belt looks good and not broken. In my manual it says there is 2 belts a brush belt and a pump belt. Where is the brush belt and pump belt located.and which belt am I looking at when I remove the belt access door. Also how can I fix it so that the brushes work again. please help ASAP

Make the machine safe from the power source first
When you remove the belt access door you are looking at the pump belt,
To gain access to the brush belt you must turn the machine over and remove the brush at the bottom of the machine.
there are two screw in the red retainers at each side of the brush, remove the screws and the retainers and the pivot arms ,you should see the brush belt and the pump

My Bissell Dirtlifter Powerbrush carpet cleaner will not roll. The back wheels roll fine, but when you put the machine down flat, the front part (where the roller is) sticks and will not roll.

I had the same problem. It would pull backwards but not go forward. A closer examination revealed the clear plastic part on the bottom in the very front of the machine had popped loose on one side.
If you look at the front of the machine, there is the clear plastic part on top where you see the dirty water being sucked up. The bottom half that creates the channel for the vacuum is where it came loose. It wouldn't create enough suction to draw the water up either. By taking out the two screws that hold the top part in place and removing it, I was able to snap the bottom back in. Works fine now. Hope this helps.

Water will not come out to do floor work

HI, I have a very similar Bissell. My problem was that after unscrewing the top plate and looking at the pipes the pipes feeding the front sprays were full of gunge blocking the sprayheads. I managed to flush it through by carefully removing the T connector that feeds the front 2 pipes, placing it back so it stuck out of one of the holes and replacing the water tank and turning on while holding it over a bucket. Black and white bits came out but it did flush through. I am thinking of doing a youtube video - let me know if this will help you!
