Your best bet is to read the instruction manual that came with it or look up your specific lock on the internet, as each lock can be slightly different. However, most locks work on the same basic principles, generally using a button reset, a lever reset, or a shackle reset.

My lock just comes with a key which I've lost. It doesn't have a combination as well.

That number has nothing to do with the lock. That is the key number for TSA to open it. You will have to contact the maker of that lock or since they are not expensive, purchase another one.

Does the red indicator show ?

Is it a padlock or suitcase lock ?

It sounds like the combo has been changed.

Contact the manufacturer or replace the lock

Locate a very small hidden button. Press it with a small stick. Turn digits to new code, and open again.
Just locate that button first, close to the zipper.
