I have an LG 42PC3D plasma TV that is about 1 year old. Last month I connected a new home theatre system to it (Bose). Every now & then, over the last month, there are times when the TV won't stay on--as soon as the power is turned on, it goes back off immediately. After I let everything (incl. the DVD and satellite dish box) sit in the off position for a 1/2 hour or so, the problem corrects itself, and the TV stays on
Is this a TV setup/component issue, or is there something wrong with the TV that requires repairs? (It's only a year old, for crying out loud!)

Is the sound comming from the speakers on the TV or the back of it? Plasma TV's can doing buzzing sounds when moved to higher elevations.

I posted the message as Tet Tet before. I can now tell you that I have resolved the problem. The issue is with the Panasonic 50Inch TV. Some people reported the same problem but only when the TV was up on the wall. It turns out that the problem lies with the metal discs which screw on at the back of the TV to enable you to hand the TV on the wall bracket. In my case I had excessive interference caused at the back of the TV (could be the fan). When I put the TV on the wall bracket the metal discs would be in contact with the wall bracket which in turn was acting as an antenna causing the iterference to the bose remote which operates at a frequency of 27.45MHz. You can solve the issue by adding some insulating tape around all the metal discs avoiding them to make contact with the wall bracket. If that fails Panasonic will swap your TV for another one like they did with me. I can now enjoy my Bose System with the 50 inch Panasonic TV. It took me three months but managed to get a solution. I hope this helps. For further info you can mail me at [email protected]. These discs should be made of metal because they are perforating the metal screen at the back of the TV. Panasonic please change this design.
