The above is a service locator for your refrigerator. Since their site doesn't seem to have a solution for this, I would call in the pros if you want to have it fixed more quickly than trying to do it yourself.
You probably have a clogged defrost drain. When the unit goes into defrost, the melt water is intended to go down a tube from your freezer down to the bottom to a pan. if the path from the freezer gets clogged, the water will seek its own level, and drip into the refrigerator. the short quick temporary fix is to unplug the unit and open both doors, blow fan for 24 hours. You will eventually need to have this serviced by an expert refrigerator repair service,it shouldnt cost more than $150, but if you attempt on your own, you could cause expensive damage, possibly forcing yourself to buy a new refrigerator.
the drain in the freezer is clog make sure the drain from the freezer
is clean all the way to the pan next to the compressor . you need to
open the back wall of your freezer for that ( the inside wall) clean
with buster (water pump)the drain is in the bottom middle of the freezer
amana runs power to the fan thru the defrost sensor that is mounted on the evaporator coil. these sensors will get moisture inside of them and short out causing intermittent fan operation. replace then sensor and your frig will return to normal. thanks for using FixYa peyton
