Hi Doug,

IC-751, I think you are referring to an Icom radio.

IF so, then there is help for you: join yahoo group Specific to your radio Make & Model No. You will be required to give them as much info as possible, so they can assist you. You can also download manuals & diagrams(if available) for your radio, all this is free.

I hope this assists you.

Baofeng UV5RA WILL NOT TRANSMIT

First, it's illegal to use that radio in the FRS bands. Also many of the Baofeng radios have very "dirty" output (spurs, frequency drift, bad modulation, etc). Your best bet is probably to buy another radio. With these radios about 3 of 10 I've tested have been bad.

Display says OFF

You are on a portion of the 2 meter band that the radio does not allow you to transmit on. You need to get within the legal band portion and transmit there. The IC-V8000 only transmits between 144.000mHz and 148.000mHz. You likely have the radio outside of that range.

Toshiba 57H83 projection tv picture problem (shadow)

this is a model first sold in 2003 that uses two STK-394-250 convergence IC's---this is not an easy model to work on---I suspect one of the two IC chips is flakey---intermittant---if you repair it make sure you change both; the only less expensive possible problem is one of the IC's may have developed poor or bad solder connections on one of its pins(about18 pins on each ic)---if soldering is good--you have to replace the chips and see what you have.
