SOURCE: CONTROLLER PROBLEM

Try resetting your Controller. Using a paper clip, there is a small reset button on the underside of the SIXAXIS. Press it.

While your PS3 is still on, press the PS button on the controller.

SOURCE: PS3 controller disconnects while playing games or watching dvd's

Check the controller settings under,

SETTINGS, Powe Save Settings, Controller Auto-Off

If that doesn't work try performing a hard reset on the controller like this:

Flip the controller over, and press the reset button. It's to the right of the middle-top screw ps3_controller_reset.jpg. You'll need something like a paperclip, toothpick, or something similar to push the button. Once you've reset your controller, connect it to your PS3 with a handy USB cable, and press the PS button (just like you did when you first got the controller). Now, it is paired again, and you should be OK.

Let me know what happens.

SOURCE: My controller will not connect on my ps3.

Sounds like the controller knows it belongs to the other PS3. It has already "paired" with one console, so that's why you're having a hard time trying to get it to pair with console #2, comprende?
Make sure console #1 is a "hard off", like switched in the back. Now flip your controller over & put a pencil or pen tip in the reset hole. ( Just to the right of the center screw hole.) NOW connect said controller with the USB to console #2. Hold the PS button for two seconds. All 4 lights will flash 5 times, then the 1 light should stay on, Boo-ya! You're PAIRED!

My ps3 controller wont connect. i hit the ps button and all 4 lights on controller start blinking. ps3 is hoked to tv with a hdmi cord and it says no signal.

Hey there,
You just need to sync your controller with your ps3. To do so, use the USB cable that plugs into the controller and into a usb port of your ps3.
You will then be able to start your ps3 and push that ps3 button on your controller, once the ps3 has started, and you'll be good to go.

Bought new controller but it wont turn on the system when I press the PS button?

Ok first of all you need to pair it with your system by plugging it in manually through the usb cord. After that it should be ready to go now you can turn it on or off with the PS button.

you need to plug the usb cord in to the ps3 and the controller. then press the ps button then it should work. if it does not then keep it plugged in and press the small reset button with a pin on the back of the controller and then repeat the first step.

After downloading the new update, my controller won't work. I pressed the PS button as requested, but it still doesn't work.

Sometimes try hooking the usb cord up to your controller and try pushing the ps button as asked if it works your controllers battery pack is junk and you have to always use usb cord or replace the battery pack.

After formating PS3

You need to plug your sixaxis controller to the ps3 with the usb cord to marry the control to your system. after unplugging and pressing the home button it should link up. If not try using another usb cord or plug on the ps3.

Hope this helps.
