Simple , your handhelds are not designed to pick up fm broadcast stations ( it will not tune into the fm broadcast band) There is nothing you can do about it. Sorry
Or, they have an FM walkie talkie and some one said it will talk to their Moto 6300 radios. Radios are not toys as much as they try to push them down our throats as such. All radios have a frequency range, they are not changeable and will not work with each other unless in the same band. Ask before buying.
Hi,
It's a two way communications radio, not a broadcast radio, hence it won't receive FM/AM broadcast radio stations.
You should not confuse the two as they work on different radio bands, most FM broadcast radios are on the 86-108MHz bands, whereas two way radios operate on the following bands:
1-86MHz, 108-174MHz, 220-520MHz & 865-920MHz
I don't know which band your radio works on, but not broadcast bands I'm sure.
The only exception to this is the smaller hand helds, which may have FM broadcast programmed, but if this is the case with yours, This issue is out of the realm of two way radio queries, as Broadcast radio is not two way radio, but one way radio, and I'm not competent enough to answer Broadcast radio issues.
