Hi David,

Write this down and keep it safe: www.digitechqld.com.au this site is currently offline during construction, but should be up and running within the next month or so. This site belongs to the Australian office of Digitech and based in Queensland, I managed to contact the office for a copy to be emailed to me, but only because I have a friend there was I able to do this on the understanding I don't give out his info on any forum, until their website is up and running.

Cheers, Peter@FixYa Team

Peter@FixYa Team, you mentioned that the Digitech QLD site would be opening in the next couple of months where you would be able to download a copy of the Digitalk DC-1065 VHF instruction manual, hat was November last year (2012). I was just wondering if you had any info on the progress of the site from your mate, as it still hasnt opened yet.. I too am in search of a copy of the instruction manual.

I have a Digitech DC-1065 5watt 80 chanel radio. I can send but I'm not able to receive and have lost the manual.....what have I done need help to correct it

If you press the monitor (may be marked SQ) button while someone else is transmitiing and you hear them it probably means RX CTCSS is on. Use the menu button and then go up and down to find the RX CTCSS (TONE) and turn it off for rx.(recieve).

Need manual for a digitalk sp318

Hi,

Digitalk or Digitech?

If Digitech, try thier website, if no joy there, perhaps someone more familiar to that model may answer your query soon.

I own a Digitech DC1065 HH CB radio and no issues so far.

I hope you find a solution from what I've put to you.

Warmest regards,
Peter

W do I turn off squelch control on a digitech DC-1065 marine radio hand held 5 Watt

Hi David,

Before I try to give advice, I need more info.

I possess a Digitech DC1065 UHF 80 Channel CB hand held, so there seems to be some confusion here.

I live near Perth, Western Australia.

Firstly, How many channels does your radio have?

If the answer is 80, then what you have is a UHF CB, not a marine band radio.

Marine band is VHF with 87 Channels, in Australia that is, and the default channel is always 16.

Digitech are an Australian radio manufacturer, so you'll get great backup service.

If your radio is not defaulting to Ch16, then I am right about it being a UHF CB.

Therefore, it is useless for VHF anything, let alone Marine band.

I'm almost 100% sure this is a UHF CB in your possession.

Try this to prove me right please.

Reply to me with your Country and nearest city, I'll then be able to find a solution for you real quick, though I believe I already have.

Looking forward to your response.

Regards,
Peter

Dual band amateur radio ic-3210a no rx no tx on uhf side?

Hi,

Since the problem involves both the RX and TX of the UHF (assuming display/logic circuitry is OK), then possible areas of concern would be:
  • UHF VCO/PLL section;
  • UHF voltage regulator.
I am assuming that you are comfortable/familiar working with electronic circuitry and components, a DVM and a soldering iron. Initial course of action would be:
  • check for CPU triggers to IC4 and IC6;
  • check +5 & +8 regulator and the 30V DC to DC converter (unlikely, but worth the effort).
  • of course comparing with standards voltage checks would be the best route. A service manual would be of help.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards. Thank you for using FixYa.
