Why won't my samsung blaze connect to wifi?

I'm right near the router but my phone keeps saying "scanning...connecting...disconnected". I think this is what has been eating up my battery lately. It has connected before but even though nothing has changed it's doing this.

My wifi keeps disconnecting and have to restart phone to reconnect, but only lasts for maybe an hour

Samsung Galaxy S 4G Smartphone: WiFi disconnects (have to restart phone to reconnect, does not scan for WiFi connections):

Hello. It could be that your "Auto Network Switch" setting is on..

What Auto Network Switch does: when the WiFi gets too low the phone automatically switches to cellular, and when cellular connection gets too low, the phone will switch to WiFi

All Samsung Galaxy's are not alike for it's menu settings.. but you can try:

for S4 and up:
Settings>hold down on WiFi settings for a second then let go > un-check box at top for "Smart Network Switch"

for other Samsung Smartphones see the attached video below:

If your device is having issues trying to scan for your router.. try turning off your router for 2 minutes, then turn it back on.. make sure you wait a few minutes for your router to properly boot back up before you try scanning for your WiFi network again

Galaxy mini wont connect to wifi

Versions of Android that I use Will not connect to an AD HOC Network. My suggestion is to download and install Virtual Router Manger v0.9 Beta on your PC, TRUST ME, you will not regret it. Got my Samsung Mini Galaxy connected within minutes after installation.

On a side/bonus note: on your phone, download and install "AirDroid". Once installed and started, go to your PC and open an internet browser OTHER THAN Internet Explorer. i.e. Firefox... from there, connect to the address listed in AirDroid and you can manage/copy files/update contacts/create messages ALL through a web browser on your PC and it will send it to your phone, WIRELESS... GENIUS!!

Linksys WRRT300n v1.1 will not connect to any wireless device

Some times this is do to the way charters network is provisioned. The reason I know this is I always used my own routers to avoid rental fee. All of the sudden none of my four routers will work with charter. They try to delicately say it's a problem with my routers, I know they are working fine. Long and short you may not be able to use your router with charter because of the way they are provisioning similar to the way a modem is provisioned. They won't tell you this because they are probably not legally allowed to do it. Try to call a tech @ charter and casually ask what routers work well with their network or ask them to recomend a router that will work well, or you can continue to fight with the one you with possibly no avial. Hope this helps.

I have the same exact phone near my WiFi router and it has not dropped my connection. Could there be some other thing that could be the cause of it? Make sure that your WiFi is not dying on you. Check both phone and WiFi by keeping the two far away from each other.
