Dear Support,
the router does not show the printer in the status / Log window. I have a HP Color Laserjet 1600 that works fine with direct connection via USB to my laptop.
I can also run the printer setup wizard provided with the router and do only see the router information. It does not give any information about the attached printer.
Do you have any idea?
If your printer is a dedicated network printer and connected to the router, then make sure sharing is enabled and that your router is set to enable DHCP which should give your printer an ip address automatically.
But if the printer is not a network printer, and is only connected to one of your pc's, then you will have to go to the printer properties in printers and faxes folder and ensure that it is set as shared, remembering the pc it is attached to has to be on

This error 55.4k appeared in printer hp color laserjet 5550. The following trouble shooting did. Orignally my printer fault is display blank. Then i replace dc board with formatter board. blank is gone dueto new ram.Machine display showed the memory process. but immediatly the error 55.4k appeared on display. The reason for this error is, communication failure between formatter and dc board. The dc board which i was replaced by old type one. Then i found exact same dc board, replaced. Error was gone.Machine came to normal status , working fine.
The supply status report is based on what the kill chip is reporting to the printer. If that particular color is not printing then it is likely that current is not flowing though a particular component in the cartridge. I would return the cartridge and get a replacement.
you can print out a status page by holding down the green button untill all lights flash than let go..( this will than print out a config page showing your supplies status..
1. Turn off the printer. 2. Press and hold the (Select) and (Cancel Job) buttons simultaneously. 3. Turn on the printer. 4. When you see the message Permanent storage init displays, release the (Select) and (Cancel Job) buttons. When the NVRAM init is complete, the printer will return to the Ready state.
