Rinse water fills the washing machine when the spin cycle starts

The machine goes thru the cycle until it gets to the final spin. The final rinse water starts to pump out, but the machins turns the water fill back on during the drain pumping. Then the machine spins with a load of rinse water in it that can't pump out because the drain pump stopped with the start of the spin.

Again, the water pumps out fine if the feed valve is closed. The machine thinks it is supposed to turn the water on when it does the final spin. WHY DOES IT TRY TO REFILL THE TUB WHEN IT TURNS ON THE PUMP?

  • Anonymous Mar 19, 2014

WAshibng machine trips RCD when washing, usually at the filling stage. Machine will operate on spin/rinse cycle with no problem. Suspect it is the heater.

  • Anonymous Mar 20, 2014

All indicator lights function. A few seconds into cycle (just as water begins to fill) the door lock disengages, the lock indicator light goes out and cycle stops. The door lock assembly seems the obvious problem. Is there a way to determine instead of guessing?

Check your outlet filter, most likely it is blocked, preventing the water from draining out. Chk your pump too. Before this disconnect from the wall socket; and also check the pipe coming from the tub to the filter. Siphon out the excess water from inside the machine before you open the pipes.

I load washer it starts the wash cycle it goes through wash cycle fine drains water but does not collect water for rinse cycle it just idles. So I turn knob to spin and it spins until done.

If it doesn't fill for the rinse, I would say that the cold inlet valve has failed. Check that the cold tap is turned on and check when the machine fills for the wash cycle and see if it is taking hot or cold water. You will probably find that it is filling only with hot water. A local spares store should have the valve you need.

Kenmore washer series 80, Clothes still soapy

If you are getting no water spray during the rinse cycle that would cause the soapy clothes issue.

Are you getting cold water during the wash/rinse cycles? If you have the machine set to warm/warm you may only be getting hot water while the final spin is calling for cold.

If you have cold water available then the timer is not calling for the water spray. The problem is either in the mixing valve or the timer.

Will not automatically switch from washing spin to rinse.

check to make sure you have both the hot and cold water lines connected and the water is turned on. sometimes the hot or cold line will clog up and it will not fill up during the rinse cycle. the humming sound may be the water valve coming on but no water is coming thru.

if you have a warm rinse set it to that to see if this is the problem.
you can clean the screens on the water valve by taking the water inlet hoses off the machine and you can look at the screens onside.
if not it may be a timer problem.

Intuitive eco Iw811 Rinse 1 no water coming thru!

the 1st rinse light is normally set to "spray rinse", this means the machine will pump out the water, spin at medium speed then pulse cold water into the machine, this occurs for about 2 mins, then the machine will spin out, and advance for the final rinse which is a deep rinse.
