That sounds like a bad drum bearing, check and eventually replace the drum bearing.

The drain line is probably clogged... sometimes debris or small objects can get in between the tubs and plug the lines...if not, the pump may be bad. I just replaced my pump on my GE washing machine.

Washers normally don't have a lint trap. dryers normally have them and they are normally in bottom by where the door opens or ontop of the dryer.
