Dishwasher lights blinking

The washing, rinsing, drying, clean lights keep blinking. When the lights are blinking, pressing any of the wash cycle buttons doesn't do anything. Lights just keep blinking. Sometimes, when I press a wash button such as 'Pots and Pans', the timer comes up as 99 and 'Start' starts the dishwasher. The dishwasher operates for about 5 minutes (pulls in water), after that stops. Any clue, what is happening?

QuietGuard3: Clean light flashing 7 times? Press Heated Dry, press Normal Wash, then press Heated Dry again and press Normal Wash again (that's 4 button-presses) and that should fix it.

Well, that didn't work. The clean light went off and came right back on. Machine won't do anything else. I'm already thinking of alternate uses, like smoking fish or little varmits. Maybe it would as a self cleaning whiskey still.

Could be heating the water when it fills and stops. if that is what is going on, it will finally start to run, unless the element is bad or a sensor is bad. in which case it would never run.

blinking lights are a sign of trouble. look up the symptoms in your troubleshooting section of the user manual. thats a great place to start.

otherwise, seems like a logic board

good luck

Blinking "Normal" light on a Maytag model

Hi

Open the door. Within 3 seconds press the following sequence --Try pressing normal wash, heated dry, normal wash, heated dry, normal wash, heated dry three times within 6 seconds and then press cancel to reset the dishwasher. If that doesn't help then try pressing Saini Rinse, Heated Dry, Saini Rinse, Heated Dry, Saini Rinse, Heated Dry or Saini Rinse, Air Dry, Saini Rinse, Air Dry, Saini Rinse, Air Dry 3 times in 6 seconds and then the Cancel Button. Close the door and press Cancel.
Blinking lights would stop and should be able to use your dishwasher normally. If the light is still blinking try and reset the power to the dishwasher and try again. If still the light is blinking then check for the connections on the keypad, it may be due to moisture or shorted connections on keypad.

Hope this helps... Please post back if you need more information.

I need to reset my Kenmore Elite dishwasher but i don't know how.

Hello,

follow the below instructions:

Unlock your Kenmore dishwasher control panel by pressing and holding the "Heated Dry" button for four seconds.

Press a series of four buttons in quick succession. Press "Heated Dry," "Normal Wash," "Heated Dry" and "Normal Wash" to instruct your Kenmore dishwasher to run a short diagnostic test

Wait for two minutes while your Kenmore dishwasher runs its diagnostic test.

Press the "Cancel/Drain" button once your dishwasher has completed its diagnostic test. This should reset your dishwasher control panel and stop the "Clean" light from blinking repeatedly.
Good luck.

Kenmore Ultra Wash Dishwasher LIghts are blinking....

I just read this for the same problem: push sanitize, then heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, sanitize, heat and dry, cancel, then open and close the door. It worked. The dishwasher is running correctly even as I type this.

Clean light keeps blinking and I can't start a new cycle

Puppa, clear the fault by pressing the keys in this order: high temp scrb--air dry--high temp scrub--air dry. Or, depending on your model..Sani rinse--air dry--sani rinse--air dry. The dishwasher will enter the service mode. Let it do it's thing or advance it through it by pressing the start key. The fault came from the board not sensing a rise in the water temp. Make sure to run the hot water before starting the dishwasher. The heating element runs through the nuetral side of the door switch so make sure the d/w is level and the door switches are all making. The element itself could be at fault. Catriver...post back
