The carburetor is in section 30 (Fuel and Air), page 10.

if you look up "john derre riding mower" blog or club, I'm pretty sure you will eventuality find a bunch of lawn mower enthusiast, with alot of time and resources on their hands. Most of the time you can find rare parts, paint, manuals and lots of extras.

do you mean it wont go faster or the engine wont rev up?
if its hydro may have bad trans axle
is ther more than 320 hrs on it?

Bad belt or belt tensioner. Shut it off and look underneath for problems.

Sounds like a broken piston ring, if you take the plug out is there any compression when you turn it over?
