The back does not come off. What are you trying to do with the washer?
I have a small drip leak somewhere under the machine when running. Today I layed it on its side and still couldn't locate a leak. But at least thanks to you I know the back can't be removed. Thank you
Does it leak as soon as you start to fill the tub or when it gets to the bottom of the agitator?
I havn't watched it close enough to see when the leak starts. I will watch it tomorrow.
OK, let me know when it starts to leak. If it's as soon as the water enters the machine, then you have a bad pump or a hole in the drain line from the tub to the pump. If it starts to leak when the water level gets up to the agitator, then you have a bad tub seal. Both are an easy fix. Keep me posted.
I tipped it over again and see a foam ring that is not glued to anything located between the motor and tub . It would seem that would be the problem.
The washer leaks when it goes into spin cycle.

If it look like this,http://cdn.appliancepartspros.com/images... this is a sound dampening ring and will not be the cause of the leak.
You really need to take the cabinet off and run the machine to pinpoint the leak. I am leaning toward the drain pump. The pump runs in reverse when washing by injecting air into the wash cycle. When it goes to spin and drain, that is when the water exits the pump ans is likely the problem. Let me know if you want some instructions on how to run the machine with the cabinet off. I have them posted on my appliance repair forum athttp://appliancecafe.com
Richard, yes I would like some advise on taking the cabinet off.
Take a look at this video. It will show you how to remove the cabinet from your washer.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vogysB7XO...
This video will show you how to bypass the lid switch so the washer will run. Run a cycle and watch for the leak. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=suQDj4sDS...
