What is the shape of the handle bars on the Schwinn High Timber Girl's bike?

I don't want racer style handle bars. I would like the "old fashioned" shape. A bar across the front with the two handle grips coming toward the rider.

These are certainly not racing style bars; but the modern, hybrid riser handlebar.

They will not sweep back toward the rider as much as a beach cruiser handlebar; but could be adjusted rearward to come closer to the rider. They definitely allow for a more upright riding position than many other handlebars though. What is the shape of the handle bars on the Schwin - 10_19_2012_7_26_19_pm.jpg

No, it's the place and year of manufacture. the bike pictured is a Schwinn Varsity. In good shape, but no great value. the style/model is normally printed on the top tube.

Bike to high

If the big is really too big, then it's not safe to ride, and blocks on the pedals are not a good idea. On the other hand, if you can straddle the frame of the bike with your feet nearly flat on the ground, then the bike is not too big. You can lower the seat, and many seats can also be adjusted forward and back an inch or two. The optimum seat height is when you put one pedal all of the way down, with the heel of your foot on the pedal, then you should be able to lift your weight off of the seat. You can also bring the handlebars closer if the handlebar stem you have has a typical length offset (if you picture the handle bar stem as an inverted hockey stick, the the offset is the length of the hockey stick blade) - if so, you can replace it with a stem with a smaller offset. If the stem already has a very small offset, you can turn it backwards, but don't do this if the offset is more than 1 inch.
Good luck.

We had a bolt fall off the women's drifter Schwinn bicycle from the front handle bar assembly. I need a replacement and am not sure of the exact size. Can you help me?

Take it to a Bike Shop (1st choice) or a hardware store and have them determine the exact match. You or a shop should double check the tiughtness of every bolt on your bike. Your life may depend on it.

Going forward, use your favorite Search Engine for "abc quick check bicycles" and view the videos. Bolts should not just fall off. You don't need mechanical surprises when on a moving bicycle.

Am looking at your 4 bike hitch rack. Need to kow if it will hold a woman's style bike? One that does not have the top cross bar.

WE don't see what you're disussing and WE don't market anything. We advise.

To your question: they make adapters for non-standard bike frames like the so-called women's style to provide a 'top tube' for hanging on a bike carrier.

Google "bicycle adapter bar" or look on eBay.
