Hello. I have a frigidaire front load washer model GLTF294DESO (W). The problem is that it does not start the wash cycle. I called a service repairman and he told me the problem was the timer. I ordered the timer. My question is how do you install the timer on this unit. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

yes it could be but also it could more than likely be your pump not letting water out or not letting enough water out which stops the cycle try doing aload when it stops turn dial to empty and if it spins then your pump is faulty needs replcing thats the more common fault

SOURCE: washing machine

just on the information you have given it sounds at first to be water leaking into the drawer from the solenoids, these could be jammed open slightly, (or one of them), with dirt, with machine switched off, remove the soap drawer and look in and see if any water is flowing in even just a trickle is too much, if so replace the affected solenoid, easy to do? start with that and see how you go on, if i have helped rate me please, thank you

most likely something is stuck in the pump. it could also be that you are not using high effiency detergent.

SOURCE: frigidaire washer model #fwt425rhso

the tub is mounted on shocks if you look in side the tub near where the tub seem is take the screws out of the vane and slide it foward and take it out look in the hole for foreign objects in between the inner and outer tub then follow this procedure to check the drain pump if you have a shop vac this is time to vacuum the water of the tub and all the way down the drain hole for the next stage usally i tell customers to remove the drain hose from the stand pipe and vacuum the water out of the washer from the drain hose but because of the pillow this might not work in your case. Now remove the two screws on the front lower panel and pull the panel
in side you will see the drain pump if you did not have a shop vac go to the auto parts store and buy a pair of radiator hose clamps and clamp the hose line as close to the washer as possible.(but put down some towels as water always stays there) then pull the tub to pump hose by depressing the squeeze clamp(now while your at the auto parts id get a screw clamp to replace the spring clamp it makes putting the hose back on a lot easier)pull the hose off. Then pull the pump to drain hose off .Remove the two 5/16 in screws securing the pump to the washer base.Unplug the connector and remove the pump inspect the pump for foreign objects, broken or stripped impeller blades . if the impeller are stripped you will have to replace the pump then form the front of the washer take a piece of water hose with one end cut off and run it down the pump to drain end of the drain and reassemble the unit

My Frigidaire front load washer doesn't spin, it turns during the wash cycle, doesn't show an error code, but doesn't spin the load at all, it is model CLTF2940ES0. Is it something simplet to fix?

Hello,

Welcome to FixYa.

Based on what you've described,...you likely need a door lock/switch assembly. The closest I found to your model is actually CLTF2940ES0.

The door latch is likely the single most common fault (which prevent's any spin, and consequently drenching wet clothing at the end of the cycle) with the frigidaire/electrolux built washer's, aside from pump's being obstructed.

I think it fool's many people because the lock indicates it is energized on the panel, however the built in "monitor" switch inside the assembly fail's. I do see a lot of these particular machine's...unfortunately.

You should be able to purchase one at most local brick
