Machine WFF2000GB/12 When the wash is done the prewash light stays on (sometimes ) and we cannot open the door. So we have to go through the cycle again from rinse or spin ....i read somewhere that it might be the carbon brushes but have still not plucked up the courage or energy to replace them .... at least i should have new carbon brushes which cant be bad! will let you know if i solve prblem ...any ideas?

u can sometimes tip the washer backwards and with a torch u should be able to see the carbon brushes and the 2 star screws which hold them in undue these screws and the carbon brushes will pop out very easily for u to change them m8
SOURCE: installing carbon brushes on Bosch WFK 2401
Remove rear panel of washer.
Remove drive belt.
Unscrew the 2 bolts that hold motor to tub back.
Remove motor plug
Lever notor back with a screwdriver or similar, keeping a firm hold on motor.and remove motor
At the rear end of motor away from pulley you will see the brushes and the armature.
Remove brushes, and if there is less than 4 or 5mm of carbon left, then replace them.
Lightly clean the armature with emery cloth.
Refit in reverse order. Test.
Plz rate my solution.
Thanks.

We had similar problem, with the spin cycle not working. We opened the 'drain' pipe (front-right bottom side). It was full of lime scale; never been opened for years. We cleaned it up and the spin cycle is now working.
