Why is there frost on the underside of the bottom shelf of the freezer door of our Kitchenade Supra side by side refrigerator?

The bottom of the freezer door is the only place where frost/ice is collecting. The temperature in both the fresh food and freezer compartments remain steady as set. Thanks for your help. JG

You're getting moisture into the compartment somehow...check door seals and the door cams/hinges make sure its closing correctly....air from outside getting in will freeze up....

SOURCE: Frost buildup

It is not defrosting.  You have to remove back wall of freezer where frost is and take hairdryer to melt away frost.  You need to check defrost heater.  This is on bottom of evaporator coils.  It has wires going to it on both sides.  This has to be checked for continuity.  If ok on top of coils is a round unit called a defrost terminator.  This needs to be checked for continuity also.  This must be done before you defrost coils.  It should have continuity when its cold.
If these are ok you probably have a bad timer or defrost board.

SOURCE: ice in the bottom of frigidaire side by side frost proof freezer

take all the bottom shelves and baskets out of the freezer. look at the back wall of the freezer. youll see a block of ice in a metal pan looking part at the bottom of the rear panel. there is a hole in the bottom of that pan. thats the defrost drain. its clogged. use a hair dryer to get all the ice out then use hot water to flush out the drain hole.

SOURCE: My Samsung refrigerator will not cool

Call Samsung. I had the same problem when Best Buy delivered mine. The delivery people left the fridge in demo mode. The people at Samsung will talk you through it, it is very simple. The fridge should work fine then.

Ice forming in the bottom of the freezer. eventually melting and ending with water running on the floor from both corners of freezer

Check the seal on the door and make sure it is "sound". Pay particular attention to the bottom or underside of the freezer door / drawer. Make sure nothing is preventing a seal between the fridge case and door. Misfigured, distorted or otherwise damaged seals can cause frost build up as you describe. Clear any objects / replace damaged seals found.

Good luck!

I have water comming out of the freezer at times and a pool below the bottom shelf.

You drain has frozen up probably because of a clog. Take the bottom door out and right at the rear bottom of the freezer back in the middle you sill see a drain. When the freezer goes in deefrost the frost will melt on the evaporaterr lines and must go down under the freezer yours does not and when the freezer comes on that water freezes. next time it defrost it heats that ice and the melted water come out the front of he door. clean that drain.

MFD2560HEW Bottom freezer french doors. Top shelf in fridge is 52.2 degrees 2nd shelf is 45.7 degrees 3rd shelf is 38.5 degrees and the bottom shelf that slides out that sits above the freezer is freezing...

At this point I am not sure if your Auto Damper that regulates the cold air is stuck closed or if the thermistor that controls the damper is responsible. You could also be having a defrost problem restricting the air flow to the fresh food section. Look into rear of freezer to see if there is a layer of frost building on rear panel. If yes then we will need to focus in a different direction. First by manually unplugging fridge and then using a hair dryer to help speed things up. The manual also has diagnostics test that you can do to locate a problem area like thermistors or many other errors will show once placed into diagnostics. Sea Breeze

I have a small 4 shelf upright kenmore freezer.the bottom shelf is not working.i put frozen items there and they all would stay cool but not frozen and then turn bad.the rest of the shelves are working...

all shelf's should have frost on them / when the ref charge is less than needed . one shelf at a time will loose its frost. it needs a recharge . if it was the door seal you would see large amounts of frost on shelfs where the leakage is . so look to add some refergant . mm

Frost is forming in freezer of side by side

There may be a switch on inside of refrigerator to regulate the sweat on outside of fridge. Also, door seal gets stretched to prevent good air seal.Open the door and insert a dollar bill. Shut the door, the door seal should be tight offer enough resistence that dollar bill does not freely pull out of door.If it doesn't,replace door seal.Hope this helps. Gregg

Top & middle shelves COVERED with frost/ice, not middle

That is normal. The refrigerant runs through those shelves. They are the evaporator side of the unit. That is where the freezing effect comes from.
Check door seals for leaking air.
Keep door openings to a minimum.
Get in there and get out.
Those things will help prolong frost/ice buildup.
