Hi, i have a 2002 2litre renault espace. the power steering has stopped working and cannot turn the wheel at all, also the battery light is lit on the dashboard. can you give me any ideas or advise please.

With great difficulty to be honest ,try changing the starter motor just for fun now the water bottle is behind the front bumper so take out the inner plastic wheel arch ,try doing anything to a renault modus even giving a jump start will make the power steering motor lose its memory and then its a 600euro job to get it sorted and renault garage will insist on a new one then programming adding up to well over a 1000euros .My favourite make of vehicle a renault ? i think not come back the ford cortina or a humber hawk

The problem in the acceleration might be the electronic governor and the clutch have to be replace.
ur nearest service center would check on it thoroughly, its a bit expensive and a experience Renault technician is needed!
The front wheel alignment should be checked again, as u said somebody have tinkered on ur steering!
Tell them to check the front wheel alignment(toe-in/toe-out) and the cambering. Ask them to show the result of computer wheel alignment. Wheel balancing is for the tyres only, not the steering!

Hallo change parking light and both light will go out. service light lit, if anny other foult is present. if all lights are ok, check their consumption. (in W) also check licence plate bulbs hope it helps Marko
