I have a brand new whirlpool cabrio washer. I have only used it for 3 days and I am getting a "du" error code. I have pushed the Cancel button as the manual states, but it will do nothing. It is continuously beeping every 5 seconds and flashing du. I have unplugged it and it is still doing the same thing and it will not let me power it off. I turn the power off and it pops back on and beeps and flashes the du. Any idea how I can fix this or reset it or something?
That code is for the door unlock error. is it possible that you may have tried really hard to open the units lid when it was locked? if so the door lock may have been broken. if not, then try to unplug the unit for a few minutes and try a new cycle.
if the code comes up again then you will have to call for free service as it has a 1 year warranty for parts and labor. yes even if you broke the lid lock!!! dont worry it happens when you get something new and are not sure how it works.

I have the same problem with my washer!! I have been online looking for an answer and have had no luck everything I find says they are to new to have any information on repairs. I have had mine for approx 1 yr 1 month.. go figure the warranty is out...If you have any info you could relay as to what was wrong or what repairs were made I would greatly appreciate it.

the lid lock would not hold so my husband pulled the lock out manually with a screw driver and it worked fine. the next time i went to use it , it gave me the DU error.. not it doesnt click at all it makes a winding noise.. i think the cable or cylinoid broker.
