Sometimes, what may seem like a washing machine leaking from bottom locations is actually one that leaks slowly from other spots. Slow leaks can accumulate beneath your washing machine making it seem like you have a bottom leak. For more help identifying the exact point of the leak, see Washing machine leaking.

Bottom leaks may be better identified using a newspaper. Just dry the floor and lay the newspaper beneath the washing machine before you test for leaks. Darkened sections map out your water leak. This method is not always foolproof, however. The best diagnosis will come from a qualified service professional inspecting your machine.

If your washing machine is leaking from bottom in the rear, you may need a replacement pump and professional installation. The leak could also be caused by a faulty air dome seal or a hole in the tub. For more troubleshooting steps to tackle that leak, see Washing machine leaking from bottom. I hope that helps!

SOURCE: my front load washing machine won't spin and drain the water

Check that it is actually heating the water in there. If the heating element has gone, then it will fill, then wait while it heats up the water needed - which it can't, so will just sit there full of water.

Usually involves taking the front off, which isn't easy.

Try it on a rinse and spin and see if it does anything, then you will know better what part is actually causing problems.

Water leaks onto the floor during every load. The water appears to be comeing from the front right hand side.

Please check the water tap connected to the washing machine. Sometimes it may be leaking.

Amana washer leaking.

Have your husband disconnect the power and water lines, pull the washer out and tip it back so he can check the hose connections to the water drain pump in the bottom of the washer. That pump should have two hose connections. In older machines, it is entirely possible that a hose has either come loose or cracked. If the hoses appear fine, check the pump itself for possible cracks. If all looks well, check the hose clamps for tightness.

Water coming out of dispenser drawer!!

You said you took off the hose from the back, okay this hose was clamped somewhere below - this is where the block is. Your outlet filter. It requires periodic cleaning - is a place where you can remove (see manual 'cleaning filter')to clear out whatever. For many front loading machines the place to open is at the front panel, right or left bottom, a 4.5 by 4.5 door. Clean out, refit.
