Ge wbsr washer overflows...

Our washing machine is overflowing on to the floor. It will work fine sometimes and then it will overflow out of the blue... Can you tell me where I need to start trouble shooting this problem. Sometimes it will stop filling and run a normal wash and then the next time it just keep filling with water and not stop. Its a hit and miss if it is going to stop filling or overflow. If it overflows I can still drain it on the spin cycle.
Thanks for your help. -Jake

Could it be ...this happens only when it is overloaded or the load is out of balance. Please clarify.

If this is not the case .. the water level hose running from the outside tank to the water level switch is likely not making a good seal (otherwise the water level switch itself is bad). Sometimes with age the hose forms a crack in it near or at the end where it connects. This could happen at either end of the hose. Also if you have removed the control panel recently (for any reason) you may have (not knowingly) pulled the water level hose loose from the water level switch. Just slide the hose back onto the tube of the switch before putting the control panel back in place and all will be fine after the first filling of the tub (it may take one filling cycle to build the needed vacuum back up in the hose). Unless of course in the process you have broken the tube off the switch where the hose goes on. In this case replace the switch.

SOURCE: fill will not stop

you may have a problem with your pressure switch. or sometimes they call it the water level switch.

try to use it in the small level and see if it would stop filling around medium or large quantities of water.

if it would stop filling , then replace the water level sensor.

tnx 4 using fixya,

SOURCE: GE Washer WHDRR418E1WW overflows the tube. Yikes.

A washer that over flows in the fill cycle sounds like a faulty pressure switch. Part # WH12X10069 and 10 on this diagram. If it overfills the tub when the washer is off it's a faulty water valve. Best of luck Ryan

SOURCE: GE SpaceMaker washing machine does not stop filling.

try replacing your water selenoid coming in. remember it isnt a mechanical timer it is a computerized timer, so if the selenoid isnt the problem, it might be the computerized timer. computers are very finicky, pain in the a- -!

SOURCE: Washer overflows water when filling

The water level switch is either bad or the tube connected to it is plugged. Tube goes from bottom of tube to switch. Take this off of switch and blow it out. Should solve problem, if not replace water level switch.

Kenmore Washer only leaking from one area

Ive never worked on a Kenmore but it may just be the overflow outlet. All washing machines have an overflow which will dump water out from the top of the tub if it overfills but sometimes on high fill water level, clothes can splash around and cause a "wave" of water to splash out over the overflow outlet. Check to see if the leak only occurs when you have selected high level fill.

Adora washer has given several years of trouble-free service. Lately, water overflows the drain standpipe and flows on to the floor. Machine washes, spins and rinses just fine - the overflowing is the only...

  1. If the drain water is overflowing the standpipe then you have a problem with the house drain not the washer. You need to clean out the house drain or call aplumber to do it for you.

Washer overflowed after moving Load Capacity Switch from Super to reset and then to Large load?

On this model of washer you have 4 separate components that could cause overflowing. The water valve, pressure switch, pressure switch hose & the air dome. If you have to turn the water off to prevent overflowing, I would recommend replacing the water valve. If you can turn the timer off & the water stops overflowing, I would recommend checking the pressure switch, hose & air dome.

The washing machine will not stop filling, overflowing on the floor.

Not knowing what brand of washer you have.......some fill by time, some by pressure. Sounds like a stuck timer, or bad float switch, or pressure switch.

GE WBSR WASHER WATER OVERFLOWS

He probably disconnected the water level sensor when replacing the belt or the timer is dead.
Check for any unconnected sensor or check if the main program button is turning propely..

Overflowed on Large load size

i think the water level sensor tube got filled when you had it on it's side, then after the first spin and drain cycle, the tube was again cleared out and ready for real action.
